Local family owned fresh seafood market - La Perla is new to the Kissimmee area. We found out about La Perla by our neighbor. The owner said he was from Trinidad and was friendly and knowledgeable on local and flow in seafood. Don't see what you are looking for, just ask. I prefer fresh fish and he is able to bring in pretty much whatever fish you are looking for. Great place that we will use again!

I came the day before and today as well. I love seafood a lot so I'm glad I found this gem. The food was really good and on point both times, the owner was very polite and accommodating. Definitely would come back at least once a week šŸ˜‚

SHOPPER BEWARE!!!! I give this business a NEGATIVE 5 stars (if there was an option)!!!

I have never been to a place of business and felt so disrespected and undervalued as a PAYING CUSTOMER!!! The guy taking the order was EXTREMELY UNPROFESSIONAL from start to finish! He answered my initial question between his teeth and I had zero chance to even initiate an actual dialogue because I could NOT get TWO WORDS in before he kept walking away!!! It took 35 mins to complete the order which on its own is ridiculous. Not to mention the place had zero a/c and I’m sweating while I’m standing there waiting for him to come back whenever he decided!!!

After the second, half question that I was able to slip in there before he ran back you can clearly see the unprofessional and unpleasant demeanor of this guy which at the end supposedly is the Owner, ā€œCharles Brownā€ that’s if they even gave the correct name… He was huffing and puffing, rolling his eyes and his whole interaction from start to finish was with an ATTITUDE!!! Extremely disrespectful especially coming from a ā€œbusiness ownerā€ Not only was he was extremely rude after that he sent the other young lady to help us making it more then obvious that he was just trying not to help us at all, so again supperrrrr unprofessional!!!

If he doesn’t know how to deal with customers then he shouldn’t be in this or any customer service business for that matter, that’s a disgusting attitude to have while running a business.

PLEASE DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME GOING TO THIS PLACE JUST TO GET COMPLETELY DISREGARDED AND DISRESPECT BY THE OWNER AT THAT!!! TAKE YOUR TIME TO READ ALL THOSE NEGATIVE REVIEWS WHICH ARE THERE FOR A REASON AND I CAN ASSURE YOU THAT THEY ARE TRUE BASING IT FROM MY OWN INTERACTION AND I WILL NEVER...

Kudos to Mr. Carlyle Brown for betting on himself and opening La Perla. If I lived in the area, I’d be at his place daily picking up fish. I’d be his very close friend whether he liked or not. We vacation in Florida at least once a year and this time we chose a house in Davenport, FL. I always look up fresh, local fish markets when vacationing down here because I refuse to buy farm raised fish from Publix (like my wife would rather do). La Perla was a 40 minute drive, up hill both ways, from our rental. I perused Mr. Brown’s website and read his story. There were other markets in the running for my $40, but La Perla, and Mr. Brown’s story, spoke to me - in some sort of weird Floridian way that only scholars could explain. Despite a vicious stink eye from my beautiful bride, I manned up and hit the road anyway. I arrived 40 minutes later. Carlyle was there and we spoke for a few minutes. Great guy! The shop is very clean and you can tell he cares about quality and Covid safety. Pricing was better than expected too. I chose the largest shrimp he had (Deveined Jumbo) and some Grouper. I’m not kidding - I cooked the Shrimp and Grouper back to back nights on the worst grill ever, in the dark, using my iPhone as the only light, with mosquitoes and gators all around me (ok, I couldn’t see the gators, but they were there...lurking). It was like Survivor, but way more difficult. Hands down the best seafood I’ve ever cooked. Maybe the best shrimp I’ve ever eaten. And I’m in no way that great a griller. I’m pretty basic. But that shrimp is the best. If we vacation anywhere near La Perla again, I will be there to pick up some more Shrimp and Grouper!!!! Awesome...

This place is top notch. Let me start off by saying this place has my loyal business from here on out.

I called and ordered a seafood boil from them. Went in and noticed their A/C recently went out and were very busy. Paid for my boil, went home and everyone loved and enjoyed it. There was one very small mishap which I didn't even think about because it didn't matter at all. Later that day I received a call from the owner and I have to say, I was blown away. He had to go through his call logs to find my number and to call. The very small mishap was not even a thought to me because the food was delicious, but to him he felt like he needed to reach out. This is the customer service that everyone says is lost nowadays.

I implore anyone that wants great seafood and customer service to a local establishment to go check these guys out. 5/5 stars guys....
