Had dinner here the other night - was fantastic food. We had a “cooked” sushi roll (one with shrimp), one hibachi meal, and one teriyaki meal, accompanied by two beverages. Delightful food, but POOR service.

Sushi was our appetizer. Once finished, we sat there for a while wondering if our server was coming back to take our order. Sat for about 15 minutes before we had to call someone over. Meanwhile, the few parties that were on the other side of the room (still not busy) were immediately taken care of and given more attention and two of them came in well after us. Not a good look.

Then, when we finally ordered, service at our table picked up. Food, again, was great. However, when the bill came, we had a mysterious charge for an item we didn’t order. I was buying tonight for date night and managed the bill. Called over one of the servers and she didn’t know where the charge came from, but also had to ask US if we ordered the item in question. We hadn’t. She apologized and went to remove the charge.

When she came back, she ignored me completely and gave the bill to my hubby, but had also only taken the charge off and forgot to run my card. She went back to charge the card.

Once back again, she ignores me AGAIN and places the bill in front of my hubby. Obviously, she didn’t bother to look at the name on the card. Alright. Cool.

The last thing I noticed but too late… the menu says that the house wine is $6 a glass and I definitely had a house wine, but for some reason, we were charged $8 for it. Hmmm. Maybe they should take another look at their prices vs menu options. Not a good look, even for something trivial. Probably wouldn’t have cared to notice had it not been for the original false charge on the bill.

We still tipped +20%, since the place was unexpectedly nice and cozy. But will probably order ahead next time to avoid poor service and random...

Was there about a month ago and I forgot to leave my review about my experience but I will now because it reminded me how nasty the server there was. I ordered an item on the menu that wasn’t something I expected and was not going to eat. Plate untouched I told them can I get something new I don’t want this. The server there with the glasses is so rude telling me I should read the menu before ordering something and making it known to me that I still have to pay for an untouched plate of food that I did not want. Telling me a sob story about how they are a small business and there is no such thing as having a waste budget in the restaurant business. As somebody who is a manager in a family owner restaurant that was the worst customer service I could of honestly gotten and she genuinely deserves to be fired because of the way she handled a situation that wasn’t in favor of what she thought was correct or in benefit to her. Thank god the manager stepped in and squared everything out with us and met in the middle and just took 50% off even tho again I did not touch it or want it. But she had a solution and we resolved it. Server only wanted to continue arguing with me about the fact of the situation as if that was more important than fixing the situation. I understand smaller businesses have different practices compared to big corporations, but every restaurant ever has a certain budget that they set aside for wasted food when its situations like dropped food or sent back food. Sucks that I got a bad experience with this restaurant because I heard good things about it but no way would I send any friends or family members to a restaurant that treats paying customers the way that,...

Tonight, I had the pleasure of visiting Asahi Hibachi & Sushi in Kissimmee with my family for dinner. This was my third visit to this wonderful establishment, and I was excited to share the experience with my loved ones. As always, Asahi Hibachi & Sushi did not disappoint!

From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warm smiles and a welcoming atmosphere. The customer service here is truly exceptional—our server was amazing and consistently checked up on us throughout the evening, ensuring that we had everything we needed and that our dining experience was top-notch. Their attentiveness and friendly demeanor made us feel right at home.

Each member of my family ordered a different dish, and everyone was thoroughly impressed with their meals. The food was beautifully presented, fresh, and bursting with flavor. The hibachi dishes were cooked to perfection. The sushi was equally impressive, with a perfect balance of textures and flavors that left us craving more.

What truly sets Asahi Hibachi & Sushi apart is their dedication to providing an unforgettable dining experience. The combination of fantastic food, outstanding customer service, and a welcoming atmosphere makes this restaurant a standout choice for anyone looking to enjoy a delicious meal with friends and family.

I will definitely be back again soon and highly recommend Asahi Hibachi & Sushi to anyone in the area. Whether you're a sushi lover or a hibachi enthusiast, you're sure to have a fantastic time at this wonderful restaurant. Thank you, Asahi Hibachi & Sushi, for another...

We received their menu in the mail and were eager to try their food so we decided to do take out. I try chirashi at most restaurants that serve it but I was a little apprehensive to order it to go because the presentation of this dish is part of the appeal to me. I was pleasantly surprised that it was packaged and arranged nicely on a bed of shoestring white radish and the tamago, little cubes of Japanese pickles and rice were also nicely packed separately. There was the perfect amount of wasabi on top of the pickled ginger and they sent the soy sauce in a to go container instead of the usual packets that usually get thrown in with most Asian to go orders. There was a good assortment of very fresh sashimi, and the included side salad greens were fresh and the clear soup was very flavorful. My girlfriend ordered the vegetable tempura entree and she said the batter was still crunchy and there was a good amount and assortment of vegetables. She also enjoyed her included soup and salad. The quality of the food is very good and the servings and prices are in line with other similar restaurants. We will definitely continue to order food from Asahi!

If you love sushi and Japanese food, Asahi is a MUST!!!!! Great quaint quiet restaurant with excellent ambiance. Excellent service and everyone is soooo nice that works here. But the STAR here is the food. The pictures I've included are from 3 different visits as I can't get how good and fresh everything is out of my mind. The lunch specials are sooooo reasonable and they even offer them on Sundays (they are closed on Saturdays fyi) . I BEYOND HIGHLY recommend this place as it's a true gem.
