I’ll admit—I’ve been gatekeeping this spot for a while! Only recently did I start sharing it with family and friends, and now it’s one of our favorites. These are hands-down the best authentic tacos in the area, and the prices can’t be beat.
As a South Texan, I am picky when it comes to Mexican food, and this place gets it right every single time. My regular order is the asada tacos with pineapple agua fresca and their elote—an unbeatable combo. I’ve also tried their gorditas, tortas, taquitos, and the rice and beans, and I’ve never once been disappointed. The fresh salsa and toppings bar is chef’s kiss.
Some people mention the tacos are small, but that’s because they’re authentic street taco size—double tortillas, packed full of flavorful meat, and absolutely delicious. Honestly, they’re a steal for the quality and portion.
The staff is always kind and welcoming, and I truly hope this place gets all the popularity it deserves. A true hidden gem that I’m finally...

I wasn't expecting to walk into a restaurant/convenience store, but as soon as I walked in I knew it would be my kind of place.
We were in a bit of a hurry so my co-worker and I both ordered beef quesadillas. I also ordered an orchata and my friend a soda. My dish was nothing fancy. Just the quesadilla with a little bit of lettuce and queso on the side. When I saw this I knew I was in for a treat. I was not wrong. The quesadilla was super moist and tasty.
Have I ever mentioned that I find beauty in simplicity? Sometimes simplicity is...
Read moreWe just left this place! Spent $110 dollars and didn’t get the order right! And never got my sons burrito! Complete trash I’m Mexican and this is complete nasty food! The Gordita so dry did not put any bean spread! The chicharron is dry!!! Shredded dry like dirt texture! Chicharrón prensado should be in a salsa based with pork skins or actual chicharron pieces of meat!!! The sopes had no tomato no taste! And super expensive for the type of food they are serving I would of loved to spent those $110 on the food but what was amazing! My husband regrets going to this place bad! The owner needs to revaluate his food! Or go back to his roots or do some research! This is not it!. American and other country’s love this place because they don’t eat this on the regular so to them this is amazing! But...
