I will NEVER visit or patronize this restaurant ever again.
We have been long time customers of Little Greek on Lithia Pinecrest Road. We typically have good service and the food is what you expect from a chain restaurant.
On Friday we entertained relatives at our house and all were in favor of eating Greek food that night. There are not many choices so we placed an order for pick up at Little Greek on Lithia Pinecrest Road.
We placed an order for 9 people with additional sides. ($100) I phoned in the order and the server told me the order would be ready in 15-20 minutes. When we arrived, 20 minutes later, the order was not ready. Apprehension set in. After waiting a few more minutes, the cashier, appeared overwhelmed, said that the order was ready. She was shuffling bags and items back and forth as there were so numerous customers waiting. I wasn’t confident the order was correct. She began reorganizing the order because I insisted she double check it. I explained that I would be very upset to get home and find missing items. While she was verifying the order, Connor, apparently the manager, barked that the order was all there and she needed to move on. When I arrived home and the items were doled out to our guests, we noticed there were items missing. I was furious. After all, I had insisted the order be checked while I was still at the restaurant, but Connor was not having any of that. He was too busy. I began calling Little Greek. The line rang busy for 20 minutes. (While our guests ate their food my wife ate cold cuts and crackers because her food was not included in the order.) When I finally did get through, I asked for the manager. Connor was given the phone. I explained I was more than upset with him and his staff. I reminded him that I had asked the cashier to check the order when he redirected her to assure us both the order was correct and complete. “It’s all there, move on.”
He said he would make things right on my next visit. I said…”so I should just walk in the store and say that Connor said I get free food?” That doesn’t rectify the fact my wife is eating cold cuts. After arguing with him, I pointed out that this was not a staff error but his error. Hence, his responsibility to restore the customer confidence. He asked how he could that. I told him that he should credit me for the entire dinner. After a little more discussion he told me if I came to the store he would credit my card but he needed the credit card to do so. I do not believe he thought that I would return.
When I arrived at the restaurant, he asked if he could help me. I told him I was the customer that was missing items from an order that he had personally assured was complete. He said I would have to wait a few minutes as he prepared some orders. While waiting I witnessed the reason it took 20 minutes for them to answer the phone. He told his staff to put the phone on hold. After waiting 5 minutes, I asked if he was going to honor his word and credit my card.
He kept saying I apologize. I told him my wife ate cold cuts while our guests ate Greek. He said that he would make her order to which I replied she already ate cold cuts-our dinner was done. I requested that he honor his word and credit my card for the entire meal.
I’m not looking for free food. I was expecting good food and customer service. The cashier was checking my order when Connor redirected her. Now I’ve invested an hour or more trying to rectify the situation to my satisfaction. I didn’t eat either. I was trying to phone but apparently the phone was on hold for 20-25 minutes. Then voicing my displeasure took an additional 10 minutes. Now that Connor told me he could not do anything without my card and I needed to return to the restaurant- another 10 minutes. Upon arrival he had me wait an additional 5-10 minutes. Which led to that his retraction in honoring his...
Read moreHey friends, another review, this time let's try a Little Greek. Usually, franchises are hit or miss but let me tell you...it delivered and BIG TIME. The Mrs. and I didn't have the kids. So, we wanted something fresh and a variety for us to enjoy. This location is off Lithia Pinecrest. It is in a strip mall with other restaurants and stores. My wife ordered a chicken gyro. I ordered the classic gyro. We split a large salad. First off, the food is fresh. I mean the lettuce was crunchy. The beets had their tang. The cucumbers were good too. The dressing was spot on sweet, classic Greek dressing. My gyro was the classic lamb, onions, tomato and tzaski sauce. The pita bread was toasted. Soooo good. My wife's chicken gyro was unreal too. Nice char on the chicken, same toppings. All fresh. We could have kept eating and eating. It was unreal. I'm very impressed. Definitely a place to go to again. The way things are...you're going to spend $40 and I know money's tight but it's worth. Remember, enjoy what...
Read moreQuite possibly the worst Greek meal I’ve ever had. Giving one star because I can’t give zero. Ended up here as a result of a superior restaurant being unexpectedly closed. Ordered a gyro pita, gyro platter, chicken souvlaki, dolmades and falafel. Gyro meat was overcooked and dry, served over plain yellow rice (not pilaf). Over half the container was a “Greek salad” consisting of thickly sliced (1/2 inch cucumber slices) vegetables to include a beet (which is apparently Detroit style?). All of the fries were soggy, the chicken souvlaki was undercooked and frankly dangerous to eat, the dolmades were so loosely wrapped you could see the filling falling out in the container and fell apart in my hand, and the gyro was built so sloppily and without care to ingredient placement that my wife had to pull it apart by hand and rearrange the contents. $72 for the privilege.
