We strongly recommend Freedom Martial Arts. Yesterday was the first class for my son doing combat sparring. This was his second sparring class and first time using a combat stick. The staff made sure that he learned good technique and gave him specialized attention because it was his first time. It was great to see this, and it is even better that this is not an uncommon occurrence. Whenever I see new students in the Tiger class, which is for younger students age 4-7, I routinely see first timers placed in class such that they can get a little extra hands on attention. This helps new students acclimate to Taekwondo, and it’s one of the reasons why we have stayed with Freedom for over a year. They will make sure your child gets the special attention they need to join in with more experienced peers. And when they stick with it, you definitely see the results. I recommend Freedom to all of my friends who are looking for a great martial...
Read moreWe have been going to this school since August of 2024. Our situation was a bit unique as our daughter came from another school shy of her official black belt. Nick Myers helped our daughter learn all of the new forms and rules to the ATA division of Taekwondo with such grace and amazing leadership. He helped cultivate an environment of trust and empowerment while our daughter navigated a whole new set of rules and forms to learn. We have been with Freedom Martial arts now 6 months and it has been the best transition for our daughter. She is now an official black belt and is now part of their leadership program. This has helped her with her own leadership skills and provided her a new sense of confidence that she can apply to her everyday life. We are very thankful for the safe environment that Nick & Amanda have created here. They truly have a passion for leadership development as well as the art...

I tried to get my son interested in martial arts at a different studio many months ago and he wouldn’t participate because “it looked violent.” I wasn’t sure how he’d react to a second go ahead but Master Myers made him and all the kids super comfortable.
He taught the kids the basics along with a side of responsibility and respect. All the kids learned basic moves, some friendly competition and teamwork. My son is now excited to do martial arts again which is huge!
It was also entertaining for the parents. Master Myers is a class act who I’m convinced moonlights as a stand up comedian. He was so personable and funny.
My only regret is that we don’t live closer. I would sign up my entire family if we did. That said, I will likely throw my son’s...
