Lorita's Fresh Mexican Food . Cafe — Restaurant in Florida

The food is really good dont get me wrong here. I would give 5 stars for the food alone and thats why I keep coming back. The service however is just up in the air. We live very close by and this is our go to spot! Always get the same exact order every time we go, chips and queso (fresh chips and great portion), carne asada bowl and tacos.

But tell me why 5 out of the 6 times my order is always wrong or just not even there. I finally got fed up with it and decided to leave this review. The people there are super nice but I don't understand how chips and queso make it to the table, tacos and im always hoping for mine next. 😅 My boyfriend always finishes his food before I get mine because I always have to go up there to ask 30 mins later. It's always a weird misunderstanding. Maybe they don't like me? I'm not sure. Its happened twice in to the restaurant and twice on delivery. The manager once said sorry and offered churros.

I took my food to go tonight since they forgot about me again and came home to a bowl with barely any rice in it. Maybe I should just stop going so I don't have to complain. Sorrrrry. I just hope this doesn't happen to...

I HAVE to give Lorita’s Mexican food an 11/10! I’m originally from Escondido, CA. The Mexican food we have there is very different even from San Diego’s style. Loretta’s is EXACTLY like Alberto’s located next to Taco Bell. Or where El Tigre is/was across the street. Also just like Jilbertos on E. Valley pkwy. I shared a shredded beef chimichanga and carne Asada burrito 🌯 with my husband. Again everything was exactly how it’s done in Escondido. No weird rice, beans or, the worst crime, CABBAGE, in my food that you often find in Florida “Mexican” restaurants lol 😂 I also tried the fish taco. I will say it’s not what I’m used to at all and was skeptical but it was phenomenal! The chef knows what he’s doing back there!! I’m a forever fan now!! This place will be my go to Tampa Mexican food! I’d place them above Loli’s and Tacos Las California’s which both hit some San Diegan vibes but not North Country Esco like Loretta’s does. I ordered from Loritas three times in one week for different catering orders for my company! One of those orders was for 150 people!!! The owners were attentive, kind, communicative and truly made it such a great experience! When everyone at my company tried the food, I have never heard so many compliments and questions as to where we got the food catered from! That same weekend I had 10+ people text me from work telling me they went back over the weekend because they wanted to try new things on the menu! They made picking up painless, the way they packaged everything to avoid anything spilling was perfect! The freshness of the vegetables and the flavors of the meat! I could not ask for a better experience! And did I mention it was all the day before Cinco De Mayo?! And they never once dropped the ball!!
