I placed my order around 9ish came in to pick it up and realized that I had made a mistake and I had ordered steak McGriddles instead of sausage McGriddles when I asked if it could be changed the manager told me "okay I just need to see your order so check in". After that he had left to go to the window to deal with other customers because it was busy. So a woman bagging said "oh but we already made it. we can't change it." I've worked in fast food for some timeso if a customer is unsatisfied with an order and they ask for it to be changed without touching it thats understanding. it's difficult but it's doable. After that she told another worker to make us a McMuffin when we didn't ask for a McMuffin. She gave us one McMuffin in a bag with some napkins even though we ordered four sausage McGriddles and two hash browns when we told her that the order was still wrong and that she gave us the wrong thing she proceeded to turn to her manager and say that we told her we wanted one McMuffin. when my friend corrected her she proceded to catch an attitude with me and my friend. While waiting, another employee who was not part of our conversation interjected, telling us we should just take the order as it was because it had already been made and would “have to be thrown away.” This was not only unhelpful but dismissive, especially since we were already working with the manager to find a solution.
To make matters worse, when our food was remade, it was prepared incorrectly as McMuffins instead of McGriddles, despite us showing our order screen. Only after pointing this out again did the order get corrected.
I understand this was during a busy time, and I appreciate the manager for ultimately making it right. However, the dismissive tone and misinformation from the other employee made the experience unnecessarily frustrating.
