EDITED REVIEW: Finally gave this location another shot after many many months. Everything was amazing, the food & service, up until the end. My husband finished his beer, however I had not finished my drink. We paid for our food and drinks & asked for a to go cup for my sonâs coke that was full to the rim. I was planning on finishing my drink, but when the waitress came back with his to go cup, so yanked my drink & told me she had to clear the bar drinks because her managers were there. While I get it, she did not have to ya k my drink away while I was literally about to take a sip & while it was still being consumed. I paid full price for that drink that was still full & was denied being able to finish it!! Iâm sorry, but that is not how you do service!!
2 months later, we decided to try this place yet again while the younger employees are still at school. Yet again, another fail. Kept our order simple: drinks, appetizers, & desert. Took nearly 30 minutes for pretzels & they were salted, not parmesan as asked for. The place was dead, literally dead. Maybe two tables with older couples about to leave, but no one else. That tells you something right there. I figured trying it months after it had been opened for a bit would make a difference, but man was I wrong. Iâll stick with Durbin Park location.
Definitely does not withhold the Mellow Mushroom standard. Although the building is new and amazing looking inside and out, the pizza was the worst weâve ever had. Pizza was stretched too thin making the pizza not even cooked all the way through; pizza was completely raw. The tator tots that came with a hoagie werenât cooked at all; they were so soft and cold. We waited about 30 minutes to be sat (when told 20), all while watching six-seven other families be sat immediately upon arrival. The only thing good about our one and only visit to this location would be the soft drinks and staring at the art...
Read moreTBH, this was top five worst experiences. We (party of two) walked in at 740 and just left nearly TWO HOURS LATER!!! Alright, brass tacks- we were served the wrong drinks, the wrong appetizer and the wrong size pizza. The food was standard Mellow Mushroom quality, no complaints. Service was abysmal. From the moment we walked in it was wild. Party of two, I was told it was a thirty minute wait. There were two other groups waiting when we arrived. both seated before we were, as expected. A family of four arrived after us, was seated before us, ate and left before we even recieved our pizza. We got seated well before the thirty minute quote as there were many unoccupued tables. My 13 Y.O.'s only observation about the restaurant was the terrible service. He literally held up a zero and asked if I actually tipped. My man ordered a sweet tea and was brought a coke. I got the wrong beer which took fifteen minutes to get corrected, first world problems, I know. I have ordered pick up from here a few times and no complaints. Dining in however, was an experience I will not attempt again. I am certain there were many other experiences that were good tonight, mine wasn't one of them. I don't want you to avoid this place. I just want to enlighten y'all to what I experienced so you can make an informed decision....Maybe it was the kitchen's fault for the two small pizzas (one of which should have been a medium because that's what was ordered) taking an HOUR AND A HALF to come out. Maybe it was the bartender's fault that I got the wrong beer...IDK. I worked for tips in my early years and I know the struggle. I left $15 bucks on a $70 bill because maybe, just maybe, it wasn't the...
Read moreThis review is actually based on two experiences. We have been patrons of the M. M. on Anastasia Island for a while now and were happy to get one in Murabella, which is closer to home. During our first experience, we visited the restaurant to dine in at the bar. We placed our order and waited and waited. Eventually, the person who took our order asked if anyone told us what had happened to our order. We told her âno,â and she explained that my pizza had been made incorrectly and they had to remake it. I think we ended up waiting over an hour to get our food, which was good when we received it. We decided for our next purchase that we would plan to get carry-out since those people seemed to get their food a lot faster. Today, we ordered online and were given a pick-up time for approximately 27 minutes after we placed the order. We arrived to pick up the pizza right on time and were told that it was about to go in the oven. Twenty minutes later, we learned that my pizza, which had been ordered with no mozzarella (clearly in writing in the order summary), was made with cheese and had to be remade. They offered us a $10 gift card for the extra wait. We finally received our order 45 minutes after the time we were given to be able to pick it up. That is two strikes, and I think we are done with this location. It is unfortunate that we will have to purchase from M. M. again in order to take advantage of the gift card, but to be sure, we will return to the restaurant on the Island instead. That location has never...
