China Sun — Restaurant in Nocatee

So my boyfriend asked me to leave a bad review, (which he has never asked me to do this before. he is never the type to think about leaving reviews) and that is proof that the food he received upset him that much.

Per boyfriend: It was absolutely the worst Chinese food ever, probably in North America. I had some shopping to do and I discovered the China Sun next door. I had to take my medication soon and didn't feel like cooking when I got home, so I decided to ordered takeout and I got the Kung Pow Chicken with fried rice.

The staff there was super nice and friendly, but that is the only reason why I am giving them a 1-star review. It would be more accurate to give them a rating of -1,000,000,000 stars for their food.

The rice was bone-dry. I can't believe you can mess up rice this bad. I had to force myself to eat this because I just took my medication and I had to eat something - plus I was in the military in my past life and I was used to eating bad food, but this was worse.

Where do I even begin with their Kung Pow Chicken. The breading was very strange, it wasn't the traditional breading that you would use for Kung Pow Chicken -I understand we are in hard times and ingredients are expensive and I could tell this was super cheap breading. It was just nasty. The chicken was disgusting and rubbery.

I will never ever order food from here again. The Kingwok on 425 West Town Place has, IMO, the best quality. Their food isn't greasy and it's just good. Their further away from me, but when I am craving Chinese food, I will order through them...

Unbelievable just unbelievable waiting time over an hour for delivery and then they calling me asking is it delivery or Cary out after an hour waiting at home for the food and I order there 2-3 times a week 20$ orders and over The guy took my address so it's delivery and I said I'm ordering for delivery and I paid over the phone and they said it'll be 30-45 minutes I said that's fine But it's been over an hour and now they wanted to deliver me the order after its been sitting on the self for at least 45 minutes cause they forgot about it So they asking me if I still want it Ummmm no cause I'll wait another 45 minutes for my order The ladie said no the driver will bring it right now Well I don't want the order that's been sitting for 45 minutes you can keep it And she just hangs up the phone on me Not apologizing or anything just hangs up on me so I call again and I ask what's the process for the refund cause I paid with the CC She tells me it's not gona be charged I said ok and before I said ok the phone was hanged up again just no respect at all Really sad to run your business like that I just don't get it how people like that stay in business that's all And you lost let's see 6 customers from tonight on I hope my neighbors will read this and think about where to get there food from next time but they lost my...

I ordered general tso dinner combo. The pre-made “chicken” was heated up when I got there. The “chicken” was mixed with something that resembled pork but could have been dog or horse for all I know. The fried rice was old and dry and had pork in it so I can assume it was left over pork fried rice. The egg roll was the only edible part. In addition the store front glass door was smeared with hand prints, there were crumbs all over the counter, the menus were soaked with some kind of oil, the vertical blinds were smeared with black grime and the walls were grimy and dirty. The place was dead but there were 4 employees. Everything looked unsanitary. I wonder how they have managed to stay in business with it looking as gross as it does. A few years ago this place was clean, and the food was fresh and good. You could identify what you were eating. Now not so much. My husband already had said never again but I wanted to give them one more try because they are so close. Never...
