Military Makeb's Bagels — Restaurant in Florida

This place used to be soo good a few years back! I remember my egg sandwich on a bagel would be nicely toasted the cheese would be oozing out when you opened it and the bacon would be nice and crispy. That is not the case anymore, I don't know what happened or who owns these spots but they've gone downhill in their quality. I've been to both the Okeechobee and the one in Royal Palm and both times the sandwich was basically something I could have done at home. At the RPB location I ordered a sesame egg bagel with cheese, bacon, onions, tomatoe, and spinach. All of which I was charged for and I get home and there's no bacon, yet you charged me for it! Come on! Not only that but the bagel is practically cold, the cheese is barely melted and the bagel itself is barely toasted. I come today to the Okeechobee location hoping it would be a better experience from the last time at the other location that was a couple years ago and unfortunately same disappointment. I ordered the same bagel with bacon, I told the girl bacon and of course there's no bacon. The receipt she gave me only gives the total price I paid it's not itemized like the receipt I received from RPB so of course it's her word against mine. And I went up to her and asked her if she charged me she shook her head no, but I know I saw her put it in on the register. The bagel itself is the same practically cold, the cheese is cold not toasted or barely toasted at all and im sitting here eating it because A) im not gonna be making a scene over a bagel and B) i know she's lying so there's no point. I won't be coming back anymore lesson learned. Please save your money and go elsewhere there are sooo many other good breakfast spots in Palm Beach County that can make the same foods for better pricing and quality. I only came because I was in the area and was hoping for a better experience....

We went to this place for lunch on Sunday. When we walked in every table was really dirty. It Had not been bussed in quite a while. We went to the front and asked them if they could clean one of the tables for us and it seemed like they were put out that we asked. When the guy came to clean the tables, he cleaned like three or four tables and not the one we were sitting at. Then one of the guys came from the back and told him he had to get back behind the counter to work. The next thing we ordered our food and realized that they charged us for drinks when we told him we wanted water. So I had to go back to the counter, asked for a refund on the Drinks. That took quite a while for the person behind the counter to do a refund. Then we got our order and we did not receive our fries. I came back to the counter and told him that I did Not receive my fries and they told me that the order went out the right way. I told him I did not receive my fries. So they finally said we will make you fries . We were almost completely done with her food by the time the fries came out. We've come to this location several times and it always seems to be overstaffed and under clean and it seems every time we come here our order always gets...

Every Saturday morning I pick up bagels for my employees, which is something I have done for a long time. Every time I walk into this place I feel like I am bothering the girls at the front counter. They never say hello, never say thank you, and they never smile. The bagels are delicious which is why I put up with the bad service but, after today I don't think I will continue to visit this location. As I previously mentioned, I order the same thing every Saturday morning about an hour before I come to pick it up to ensure the order is complete and ready for pickup. On multiple occasions my order was either not complete or missing an item I.e. Cream cheese, knives, napkins, or the bagels weren't sliced. Today the order was correct which is good, but yet again I was not greeted or thanked for my business. Considering the fact that I spend over $100/month at this location and frequent there once a week I would expect a much better experience. I would understand if this was once in a while when they are packed, but that's not the case. There is another location on Okeechobee Blvd. which is a bit out of the way but it has the same product and much nicer people working there. I will be sure to take my business there...
