The other day on January 29 ,2019 it was my first time going to Moes to eat for dinner and my experience wasn’t that great. I’ve been working in the food business for many years and know how things normally function at most restaurants. For example when I came in I seen 4 people behind the counter to prep the food for the customers and only one employee said “ Welcome to Moes” then turned back around and finished talking with the people next to him giggling and not paying attention on what I wanted, I stood there waiting for a good 3mins in them to pay attention. It was my first time going in so I didn’t know how the ordering works and what type of food options they had. Yes I know they have a menu but when you go up to them normally they will tell you again. I told the guy it was my first time there so hopefully he’ll Direct or tell me the options but nope he just stood there and stared At me like a lost puppy so I just something simple like chicken because I didn’t know the other choices. After that I wanted some naco chese for my chips for my to go order, when I got my bag of food the Naco cheese I requested wasn’t in there so thankfully I looked in the bag before I left the store. Yes ,I know it’s only a cup of naco cheese it not a big deal, but the point is that they continued talking to one another having personal conversation so they forgot that requested cheese to two guys behind the counter , I remember two guys because they both asked me what size I wanted. If all 4 people would of put in the same effort at a faster pace and focused on the customer more then focusing on having personal conversation then I could of been out of Moes in 5 mins...
Read moreUpdated 3/2022. I feel like it's only fair to update the review I gave a while back. I've been here twice in the past few weeks. Both times I've had terrific service from the friendly employees. They go out of their way to be helpful and each time the food has been above average from my experiences at Moes. I'll start by saying that I am a fan of Moe's. I go there regularly (maybe once every month or so). We had just finished up at the kids school for an evening event. We needed a place to stop and thought Moe's sounded good. I've only been to this particular location a couple times, and walked in to find two occupied tables and an otherwise empty restaurant. The employee behind the counter provided a less than enthusiastic "Welcome to Moe's!" as my wife and I entered. The wife ordered a bowl, I opted for a burrito. The burrito was put together well, but my wife's bowl appeared a little underwhelming: light on filling and toppings. I ordered a beer, paid, and left a fair tip for a counter service restaurant. We went to sit down, where we could only find one table in the almost empty restaurant that was clean. We ate our food, which was good (the only thing warranting two stars instead of one). Although I like Moe's, I probably won't be back (at least to this to this particular location)...
Read moreExtremely disappointed in today’s service at the Clark road Moe’s. My coworkers and I have been regularly (daily at some points) customers of this location. I came in today because I heard burritos were $5 for national burrito day. I asked when I arrived if the burritos were $5 today. The franchise owner (big guy, slick backed hair) told me they were as long as I had the Moe’s app. I downloaded the Moe’s app and went to pay the sale price of the burrito but the owner wouldn’t do it. Apparently the app had to be downloaded days prior so that Moe’s would send the coupon in the app. This is something that I would have liked to know when I asked the franchise owner when I walked in the restaurant. The manager was excessively rude, remarking that the app has “been around for 2 years”. When i told him I didn’t want the burrito he angrily grabbed it and threw it in the trash, chips flying to the ground. When I tried to at least receive my free cup of queso for downloading the app, he made me go all the way to the back of the line in the middle of the lunch rush. This is the same franchise owner that flirts with visibly uncomfortable young women, even to the point of giving them free food and drinks. Absolutely unprofessional, rude, and distasteful.
