Sub Zero Nitrogen Ice Cream — Restaurant in Florida

We were heading from the beach back to our rental and craved ice cream. Thanks to Google reviews on this place being very high we chose to stop here. We got a house free scoop because it was ‘National Ice Cream Day’, but we both chose a small serving of ice cream.

This place is fun and unique - they pump out liquid mix (several options available) and add flavor and whatever mix ins you choose and then blast the mixing bowl with liquid nitrogen which freezes the mix as they mix it up and it forms the soft ice cream in front of your eyes! Super cool (literally) and a great way to talk science and have a treat at the same time! The service was AMAZING - the young lady serving and preparing the treats was very good at her job, friendly and welcoming and answered our questions with a big smile - you can tell it is a sound work environment there. Now here's the problem, the ice cream is addictive. If the government knew about it they would probably regulate it and have long argument the way they do about marijuana. Why does it lead to Compulsive consuming? They tell me because all the ingredients are natural with no chemicals or whatever Breyers and the others put in their ice cream to fool the connoisseurs. PS I mean the last Breyers I bought said on the label frozen dessert. You tell me is there any ice cream in there? I feel foolish for telling you this but normally it's a kid's place and there I am among the pack. I like that they have vegan options. The ice cream itself is ok (it's ice cream right?) but not great. Maybe it was just the flavor I tried, but I got Brownie Batter and it was WAY too sweet. It tasted exactly like the chocolate (that was also way too sweet) that my father got. The nitrogen freezing is cool to look at the first time but I mean it doesn't make the ice cream any better imo.
