f you ever think of eating at Molly Goodheads in Ozono, don't. I realize we have seen a decline in basic decency toward each other in the last few years, but the behavior displayed by the hostess, restaurant manager, and wait staff last night was the worst I have ever seen in my 58 years. Not only did we wait an hour and a half (not a big deal in itself on a Friday night in our current environment), but it was everything after that which was reprehensible. From the hostess being utterly rude to my friend, not once, but several times, to the same hostess, refusing to acknowledge and move out of the way for an elderly, disabled man to pass, it was horrible display of humanity at its worst. We wound up, in a three hour time span, receiving one appetizer, which was terrible, and a partial round of drinks. My one friend waited an hour for an unsweet iced tea. (they claimed they had to brew it). We never did get our food. I went to the manager, a horrible, deplorable man, who chastised me and told me he was going to have to throw our food away now and that it was ready. I paid cash for what we actually received, no tip, and left. He, along with a couple of the waitresses literally followed us into the street telling us never to come back. I never lost my temper, and never raised my voice. A a disabled veteran myself, I can tell you they make no special effort to assist their guests or make it easy for them. They block their handicap entrance and.... well I could go on and on. Bottom line, we have a lot of great choices around here and that is not one of them. We've been there quite a few times before. There is nothing in there worth waiting...
Read moreCaroline was one of the worst waitstaff I've ever had. Left appetizer plates on table entire meal, rushed our ordering, I never received my salad and my daughter's dining experience was handled horribly. Her shrimp dish was way too spicy for her. We pushed it aside and flagged her down to order another entree to replace it. Old entree was left on table. She didn't even ask what was wrong/ why we ordered another dish. I offered that info up when the next one was served to only get a "yeah it's too spicy for me too"???? Not even a manager to come over? Give me a break. I never want anything for free, I can afford to pay for a meal but come on. This did bring the bill price up so that one would expect to be tipped for a double meal but her tip went down as a result. Not sure what was intended but if that were the case the double meal charge didn't work 😉. I give atleast 25% gratuity for good service and 30% for amazing service and she would have seen that. Fish and chips were soggy and a strange choice of fish if you're expecting the classic dish of fish and chips. My coconut shrimp were in fact very good but my coleslaw was super earthy/dirt tasting and I left it alone. Runned down neighborhood as well with poor parking if you are concerned about having your car safe from dings and scrapes of close parking. Disappointing for the first meal of our...
Read moreI usually give this place a pass because it isn’t known for being anything special but I have to say tonight was just too much. My husband and I came in and sat at the bar with the intention of ordering a drink and dinner.
While I went to the restroom my husband ordered his drink and mine. I came back and my drink was not what should be expected for a standard bar drink (old fashioned). I didn’t really mean to draw attention to myself but that drink was terrible. The head bartender who is usually pretty awesome came over and offered to remake the drink for which I was thankful but when she remade it she SHOOK it….in all my travels an old fashioned should never be “shook”. What transpired after can only be described as blaming the victim. I was so very uncomfortable. Honestly they literally gave me dagger eyes. An old fashioned whiskey is the easiest drink to make but honestly the way they handled the situation was so not cool. The manager actually came over and asked me what the issue was and by this time of course I was feeling embarrassed (I truly do not like to draw attention to myself or others) and when I tried to explain…he literally just walked away. Just so very disappointing. If you don’t know how to make the drink just say so I could be happy...
