Decided to try here for breakfast because of the great reviews. So we made a to-go order of pancakes to pickup. The first thing that was noticeable was the waitress almost seemed inconvenienced to ring up the order (it wasn't crowded at the time we went)...Then she automatically entered a 20% tip. I must say, before covid I never really tipped for pick-up orders, but knowing how hard the service industry has been hit I do leave tips now when I pick up. Just thought it was a little schmucky to automatically add it, especially since she definitely wasn't overly polite. Then we get home and open the containers. I can say, I thought the picture on their website that shows the pancakes seemed a little dark, but the picture didn't do them justice. They were the color of very very dark brown - think scorched but not burnt. Cutting into one I thought perhaps part of the reason for the coloring was they seemed to be some kind of very dense bran flour pancakes. The website does say Buttermilk Pancakes, so I don't know... Whatever they used to make them, they did not taste good...at all. So after paying over $20 for two orders of pancakes we had to just chuck them. When I first looked at their menu I saw several items I would like to try... and usually I give a business a 2nd or even 3rd chance since everyone can have a bad day... And I still may here, but definitely not...
Read moreI would absolutely love to be leaving a positive review for this restaurant. Unfortunately I most definitely cannot. The only reason for my review now is so ownership can have a feel for what’s happening in their new restaurant. When they first opened we were excited to see a new cool little breakfast spot we could go to that was right around the corner. Our first experience there was great for the most part. Scrambled eggs came out with a ton of white and yellow not mixed together so more of fried eggs than scrambled but not huge. First week they were open. Our 2nd time- party of 6. Most ordered omelets that came out to the table at all different times. All omelette toppings were placed on plate with a scrambled egg over top. When brought to the wait staffs attention she stated that’s just how they make them here. Very odd. And definitely not an omelette but hey easy enough to get over. Our 3rd time LARGE HAIR FOUND IN MY FOOD. It happens, nobody is perfect. Just no breakfast for me that day. After much deliberation this morning about where to eat my wife and I decided to give The Nesting grounds one final shot. First cut into my omelette revealed ANOTHER HAIR IN MY FOOD! Nesting grounds we are officially done! 4...

I had a deeply upsetting experience at this café. I came in with my daughter and ordered what I thought would be a safe, fresh meal. When my food arrived, it looked off—something wasn’t right. When I asked the waitress, she casually said “Oh, it’s food from yesterday." Shocked, I asked how long they keep food before serving it to customers. She told me they store it for several days. I then asked to see any written guidelines or safety policies, and she admitted they don’t have anything to show me. I requested to speak with a manager, and was told one was not available. The waitress claimed she tried to reach the manager three times but couldn’t get through. This experience was beyond disappointing—it was disturbing. Serving old food with no clear food safety standards and no manager on duty is a major red flag. I left feeling disrespected and very concerned for the safety of other customers. I strongly advise others to stay away until this place gets serious about food safety and...
