NOT ACCOMMODATING AT ALL!! As per our waiter (very pleasant young man), the cooks said they were too busy to make my wife's salmon, oreganatta style, and shrimp parmesan for me (which I didn't care about and ordered the spaghetti with white clam sausage), although it was 8:47 PM and the majority of the tables already had their entrees, served. My wife ended up having a salad, which I felt terrible about, to the point I couldn't eat and took my food home, without ever touching it. Can't imagine it's that difficult to grill salmon with bread crumbs and pour some butter and white wine sauce over it.
UPDATE:
As I was leaving the restaurant, apparently the owner, runs after me in a huff, angrily telling me that I was quick to trash his restaurant. Though I explained that I was very specific with my review and didn't comment on his food (which I didn't touch), he responded that he didn't care and that I shouldn't have done it. This is when I told him that being the cad, I couldn't care, either. He went back into the restaurant in a rage, looking back at me and threatened; "we get even", as he put his hand over something in his back pocket.
As a result of his threat, thug like and unprofessional behavior, I didn't feel comfortable and trashed the food I had brought home. My wife felt so uncomfortable, that she called visa, to cancel and replace her card (after paying the charges of course), just in case that's where his threat was headed?
We're a mature couple that eats out a few times a week. We've never been threatened or treated in such a manner, to go to such lengths with precautions.
I rarely write a review and when I do, its usually about an incredibly great experience. In this case, although I can't speak about the food, I must share this experience, and refuse to allow anyone from depriving me of my 1st amendment rights.
While I have no idea if this person is a mobster, I do attest that his behavior was thug like, uncalled for, and extremely unprofessional.
PS: Fortunately, Chipotle was open at this late hour and saved me from having to settle...
Read moreWe have been eating at Parmesan Pete's for years. We ate there recently and the food was not good. We arrived and were promptly seated on the patio. I had a drink which was good. We each ordered a Caesar salad. Unfortunately, the dressing was a little to bland. My friend and I ordered veal parmesan. Something we always ordered on previous visits because it's been so good. This time the veal was way to thick and the portion size was huge. Usually the veal is pounded thin and the portion size is usually more than one can eat. But the portion size was unbelievable. The veal didn't even taste the same as before. Even our server said she never saw one that big before. Plus, my friend's veal was burnt. The only part of the meal that was excellent was the tiramisu. I wanted coffee with dessert but, unfortunately, never received it because it was still being brewed!!! The worst part of this experience, I chose Parmesan Pete's for my birthday dinner!!!
UPDATE - I received a response from the owner today. In regards to mistakenly being served chicken parmesan instead of veal - it was definitely veal. In the past, one of us has ordered the chicken parmesan. So we knew the difference in taste between your veal and chicken parmesan. It just seemed to be an inferior piece of veal wIth lots of breading and my friend's veal was burnt. Plus, we showed the entrees to our server. She looked at our entrees and didn't offer to get us a different entree or another veal parmesan. As I mentioned, she only said she never saw veal parmesan that was that big. Plus, I didn't mention that she brought the check over without asking if we wanted dessert or coffee. We had to ask her!!! Considering it was my birthday I did want a birthday dessert...
Read moreI have heard of Parmesan Pete's for a while and finally decided to try it.
I tried going during season without a reservation and was turned away. So this time I played it safe and made a reservation
I arrived at 5:15 and was promptly seated. This restaurant has a family vibe to it and can get very loud considering how small the restaurant is. This is not a romantic place but great for a casual family outing.
The server brought out 2 type of bread, one focaccia like and the other which a crunchier crust. Both breads were very soft and soaked up the marinara or olive oil that it was served with.
As an appetizer I tried the fried meatballs. They were rather large size and filled with ricotta. They were super tender and juicy. While ricotta gave it a creamy texture.
For my main I had the chicken parmesan. This chicken Parm was good for 2 meals. It was absolutely massive. I was concerned that it would be over cooked but was surprised that it was crunchy on the outside while not overcooked on the inside.
I also tried the chicken giambotta. While I thought the chicken Parm was good, this dish was the winner. The chicken was perfectly cooked and tender. The sauce was salty and additive, I was considering licking the plate. The dish also has hot peppers that give it a nice kick, tomatoes, mushrooms and a delicious sausage. You are doing yourself a disservice if you go here and don't get that.
Overall the food was really good, service was on point. I...
