I’ve been making an effort to try local restaurants in Perdido Key and West Pensacola, and while there are some great spots, unfortunately, this isn’t one I can recommend. I chose this place based on its high ratings (around 4.5 stars), but my experience didn’t come close to matching that.

There was a bit of a wait, which I completely understand—it’s July at the beach, so a busy morning is expected. No problem there. Once we were seated, however, things started going downhill. Our server brought waters after some time, but there was no real engagement, and we weren’t checked on again after that.

I ordered a dish that’s typically a standard everywhere: eggs Benedict. What I received didn’t resemble what I would consider eggs Benedict. The English muffin was burnt, the poached eggs were overcooked, and the “ham” was two tiny pieces that looked like they belonged on a 50-cent piece, not the bread. The plate looked sparse for the price. The menu stated the dish came with grits, which I like, but I requested potatoes instead—and there was an upcharge for that. What arrived was six or seven small, burnt potato chunks, which made the extra charge feel even more disappointing.

My friend ordered the biscuits and gravy, and after three bites, he was done. I tried it as well, and the gravy tasted burnt. Honestly, I’d take Cracker Barrel’s biscuits and gravy over this any day—and that’s not a bad thing because Cracker Barrel does a good version, but this wasn’t even close.

The service was another letdown. Our food was brought by a runner, not our server, and our water glasses sat empty for most of the meal. When our server finally returned with the check, I politely mentioned that the food just wasn’t good and this seemed very out of the ordinary. Her response? “OK, I’ll let them know.” No apology. No offer to make it right. Nothing. When she came back with the receipt for me to sign, all she said was, “We hope next time is better.”

Here’s the thing: I don’t like leaving negative reviews for small businesses, and I always give places the chance to make things right. But there was zero effort here, and based on that, I won’t be returning—and I wouldn’t recommend it. I know my review is just one voice, but I rely on honest feedback before trying a place, so I’m sharing mine along with a photo of what I received.

Disappointing food, an extra charge for burnt potatoes, no apology, and poor service. If they had acknowledged the issue or offered to make it right, this review would’ve been different.

Overall: Overpriced and underwhelming. Eggs Benedict didn’t resemble the classic dish, the potatoes (which came with an upcharge) were burnt, the biscuits and gravy were barely edible, and the service was inattentive with zero effort to make...

I expected a wait to get in. We came on a Sunday morning around 11:30 in July, but we were seated immediately. I ordered the Nashville hot chicken eggs Benedict. The server didn't hear me say the Nashville hot chicken part so they brought out the regular eggs Benedict. I told the food runner and they took it back to correct it. They seemingly cook everything fresh to order so it did take at least 10 minutes for my correct order to come out. I was so excited to try it but let me tell you.....if you can't handle spicy, then don't order this! I really tried to enjoy it. The seasoning was there. It had hints of sweetness mixed with savory but the spice hit me like a mack truck. After 3 bites, tears were flowing...from my eyes and nose 🤣! I thought the biscuit base with the eggs and sauce would help with the heat...I was wrong. It was so hot! Idk if they were heavy handed that day with the spice, accidentally dropped devil juice in or if this is their normal hey how ya doing let me boil your insides spice but man. Flavor was there but too hot for me, lol. Luckily someone at our table ordered a "normal" breakfast and could only eat half so I finished theirs since I was still hungry and couldn't eat mine. I didn't complain to the staff though. I ordered something that I wasn't sure if I'd like so that was on me. The service and atmosphere was nice with a man playing music. Overall it was a good sinus clearing experience and I'll return if I'm...

We went in for brunch at about 1100. The first thing that was off were the floors. For some reason they are badly warped and haven't been fixed. The second thing is the lack of atmosphere in the restaurant and lack of enthusiasm from the employees. The employees did not seem like they wanted to be there. When we went to order, they were out of fruit, the crab benedict and French fries. How can a restaurant with breakfast in its name be out of fruit? And French fries? Come on Man!! And there weren't that many menu choices for breakfast. When we got our food, it was just alright. And we waited awhile for that food. My daughter in law had an appetizer, my son had a sandwich and tater tots and I had the Paul Bunyan, which would have made Paul an unhappy man. Way overpriced in my opinion. My breakfast was overcooked and was definitely not worth the money. My biggest gripe is the owner or manager. He was sitting at the bar working or playing on his computer drinking Red Bull. While we were there, he left for a bit and when he came back he was empty handed. I would have thought, I don't know, maybe pick up some fruit and some French fries!!!!! And this guy never interacted with the staff or any customers. To wrap this up, not a horrible experience, but could have been so...

This place was WONDERFUL!!! We happened to be driving around and wanted breakfast because that’s my favorite meal. So we popped in and OMG FABULOUS!! We had the crab cake eggs Benedict and Baars Bridge with a substitute of tater tots instead of the hash browns. The Benedict was so light and flavorful crab cake was nicely seasoned and a highlight to the dish. They blended so well together. It also came with grits I added cheese. Let me say normally with grits that aren’t my own I have to add all types of stuff so they are edible but not here and that was great. Also the icing on the cake was the coffee…not bitter and so very good. The Baars Bridge appears to be the most favorite of custodians I can see why. Bacon biscuits with gravy egg and you can get one of these amazing pieces of sausage (conecuh) The inside of the establishment was very clean and inviting apparently they have live musicians come and perform. There is a little wall for them to sign super inviting. The staff was very nice and welcoming as well. Our server was so sweet and helpful with recommendations and asking out questions. If I’m ever in the area I would definitely come back
