This use to be one of my favorite spots, but for whatever reason the lack of competency by employees during the midnight shift has really killed it for me. I have had 20 minute wait times while being the only one in the store. This has even happened for small quick items like coffee and croquetas. When I ask for a chicken croquetta I get ham, and when i ask for ham i get chicken. When i order a croissants sandwhich i literally get no croissant with it. If i give the cashier a $5 bill on a $3 check, she does not know how much change to give back to me, even when i told her ($2 by the way).If i ask for no sugar, they still load it up with sugar. It's so obvious theyre barley paying attention to the customers when theyre in the store. I understand there is probably late night side work that needs to get done...but 20 minute wait times for a cafe, empanada, and croquetta at 2am as the only person in the store is pretty ridiculous. i don't enjoy complaining, but it is without failure that any time i walk inside this pinecrest bakery past 9pm, i know i'm going to wait 20 minutes for one item just to be prepared incorrectly and in poor quality. I walk in with the "just one more chance" mentality. Food is below mediocre and the service is pretty atrocious. i also don't think upper management really cares. Other locations are significantly better. The girls in the early morning/mid afternoon are great though, and the quality in service during the day is definitely felt... It's a different...
Read moreGood bakery with great food. The only caveats are that they have very loud salsa music all the time so it is not the best place if you want to have conversations and relax. Its good to go grab the food and go somewhere else.
UPDATE: After a few more visits, I have to first note that the music is not as loud as it used to be which is a big plus. Unfortunately, however, I must remove a star from my prior review, for a few reasons: First, the ladies at the cashier are simply not very customer friendly - they barely make eye contact, seem primarily eager to move on to the next person, and at times seem somewhat dismissive. Second, the quality of the coffee is often a function of the barista making it, but here the variability is much too large. The lady that made my coffee today for instance made the "cafe con leche" taste like an instant-pot cafe au lait, the kind that you get from a $20 machine. It does not feel like a cafe con leche made with an espresso shot, as it was highly diluted. Overall, this is a place that has lots of potential, particularly as their croquettes and bakery items are decent (particularly freshly baked), but I feel that the personnel requires training to become more customer-facing and friendly, and even more importantly, additional emphasis must be placed on consistent attention to detail (vis a vis, the quality of the...
Read moreI never have had a problem inside this bakery, one of their employees was an amazing hire, her name is Mariana, and shes such a sweetheart. She takes care of everything I ask. On my very first visit I walked in with my work clothes on and was treated like I usually dress-in a suit & tie. The employees here are nice I honestly dont know why some visitors have left nefarious reviews. They're open 24 hrs and are an amazing spot for a quick meal at night. They also have my favorite drink Prosecco, and Its difficult to find elsewhere in the area. Also, you can't beat the prices on their desserts- come on people they beat the local wholefoods, & fresh market prices. The price for a Prosecco bottle is very reasonable too. Their guava and cheese pastry is hands down the best I've had. Moreover, I've stop here a few times for their breakfast and it does get very busy but for some reason I'm always in an out. I guess I get here before the peak hours. I like this place. Debora is also a nice employee. If there's something you're looking for be vocal about it. If there's something you dont like let them know, they're willing to work with you. There's nothing wrong with making it known what you...
