Before I go into my rant I would like to say that I always get excellent service at the Pine location in Ocala Fl and also in Wildwood Fl. This was my first time at Bellview location.
I went to Popeyes last night in Bellview Fl on interstate 441. I ordered a 16 piece half/half with 3 sizes and a large fry (43.00). We waited like 10, 15 mins for our order and they still did not have the chicken I ordered however it was just two wings so I exchange them; no problem. I get home and find that he did not get my sides right as well as he did not give me my fries. I again forgave him for one of the sides being wrong. I go in bag no fries. Okay, called them with the number that was on the receipt; the number does not work. Googled and a 321 area code comes up. Called it and does not work. Called another Popeyes and they did not have a number. So I drive back from Marion Oaks back to Bellview ( another hour total of my time). I go and Brittini says “I remember you. You were here for a long time. What happen?” I told her she apologized and said “that give me another meal but she has to verify with her district manager. She goes in back and then another manager name Leah (maybe) ask for my receipt and the manager that took my order (I did not see his name tag.. so let’s call him no name) comes out and ask for my receipt and I proceed to repeat the incident. So “no name” tells me he confirmed the order with me (but I did not have my fries..right) and repeated exactly what I said and what he said. He started arguing with me while Leah tries to diffuse it. He turns his back and to me and started to remaking my food while being a smart “A”, he bags it and brings to the counter and pull everything out one at time showing me the food. He opens the boxes of chicken and count them to me “there “2 WING, 2 BREAST, 2 LEGS” etc.. and then he open the second and did the same then one of his friends that ask for him earlier interrupt and says “you always give excellent service”. At that point I wanted my money back. Leah comes back up and says that they fulfilled the obligation. I told her no, you did what was expected and at this point it was not good enough. Brittini came back up and stated that she called her district manager and was told that was all they can do. I ask for his info and they told to call number on the back of receipt because he only has a private number. My time was wasted, my business not appreciated, and disrespected. I would have never treat my customer like that way; never. Even if I was upset the customer would have never known it because it is not about me. The next time I get a hankering for some chicken I will think of this incident and stay in order pizza. The next morning I see that his friends that I mention above threw their drink on my car from their...

This place is filthy, and the employees haven't been trained. They were very nice, but they have no chance if Popeye's won't teach them. You can't hold good employees if you don't support them.
First visit: they let me wait in the drive-through, and then they told me they were out of chicken.
Second visit: they were out of dark meat, so they asked if all-white was okay. I agreed, and they gave me two wings. WINGS. My three-piece was a one-and-a-half piece. The chicken was oily, and the biscuit was just bad.
Third visit: after about 10 minutes in a drive-through line that didn't move even once, I went in. I ended up getting my food a lot faster than the poor people who had been in front of me.
The dining room was filthy, with little bits of trash here and there. The door on the trash receptacle was open. Everything looked dirty and greasy. An employee was taking a cell call in the dining room. Another one was doing the books on a table. Another one behind the counter was wearing what looked like yoga pants with fishnet panels.
Employees behind the counter looked extremely busy, but no new food came out during my long visit. There was a lot of old chicken under the lights, and there were a few fries.
The manager took my order (spicy sandwich, Cajun fries, lemonade) and started assembling my sandwich. There was a big piece of trash on the assembly counter, and she had to throw it out first. While I waited, three other employees asked if I had been waited on. Other restaurants have things called COMPUTERS to keep up with orders.
The manager said she would get my drink, and then she handed me an empty cup. Chick-fil-A makes fresh lemonade and hands it to you, and then they come and ask if they can refill it. Popeye's has a dirty self-serve machine, and the tag on the lemonade says "0% JUICE." So they don't really have lemonade.
Eventually, the food arrived.
The fries and chicken were lukewarm. Unlike Chick-fil-A, Popeye's didn't put lettuce, cheese, or a tomato slice on the sandwich. The fries had no seasoning on them, so how can they be Cajun fries?
I ate the food and poured half of the drink out because I was concerned about diarrhea from poor cleaning practices.
The sandwich would have been phenomenal had it been hot and juicy and served with something other than pickles and sauce.
This place would be a gold mine if it had a trained manager, trained employees and some support from corporate. Popeye's is setting this crew up...
Read moreWe drove the 29 miles (about 45 minutes out of our work day) to go to the nearest Popeyes and finally try the chicken sandwich. Social media posts have said it came back on Sunday. The Popeyes app your corporation encouraged me to download also said the sandwiches were available at this location but after making the nearly hour long drive, we get there to find out that we can't order a sandwich because they're out of buns?! And to make it worse, the employee then began to educate us, very loudly, on the fact that "ain't nobody got no buns anywhere in Florida all the way to Alabama!" So we then decided to try the newly advertised Voodoo Tenders instead. Guess what? We couldn't try those either because they said they were out of the voodoo sauce. She never offered us anything else on there menu, just asked if we were going to wait on the supply truck or not. Really?! Come on Popeyes!! When are the corporate leaders ever going to step in and teach these franchises how to plan properly? Or is it not the franchises' fault at all, but rather a logistical issue with corporate warehouse/ supply? Either way my husband and I feel fed up with the chicken hype. So what if Chick-fil-a and Zaxby's didn't get as many votes as Popeyes..... at least they are restaurants that don't run out of menu items and I've never once had an employee at either of these places raise their voice at a us . Get it together Popeyes. You have so much potential in regards to the taste of your food (that we've been able to try), but the rest of your skills need to measure...
