We stoped in at Pasta Faire, for lunch during the week in the later summer of 2023. We walked in approximately 1:30pm. So the lunch crowd probably should have been mostly fed and on their way. They didn't have a seat for us because as I heard the waitress say, there were no clean tables because they all needed to be cleaned. I looked around a noticed there were not all that many people seated. So this must have been quite a few tables. We were seated fairly quickly though and had a menu. It took a bit for our server to come back to us. We ordered drinks which came out fairly quickly with bread and oil. The oil didn't have a label and tasted a little different than what I am use to. So I wondered what brand it might have been. Our server, who was very nice, took a bit, but came back for our order. The food came out fairly quickly as well. So all was good. The food was okay, but honestly, not that great. The wife did like her salad. But other than the bread, and her salad, we didn't find it all that good. Both of our food was basiclly, over cooked. But not so terribly over cooked that it wasn't eatable. It was over cooked, but still eatable. So of course we ate it, since we were hungry. I'm not sure if it was busier than it looked or not, but the only time our server did visit us during our meal, (before offering dessert), we just said that all was good. I never send food back, no matter what. If it was that bad, I just would not eat it. To be fair to our server as well, she doesn't cook the meals. We paid the check and went on our way. Pasta Faire was not a bad meal for the most part. It just wasn't a good meal either. The food itself, kind of reminded me of some of the cheaper Italian restaurants that we have came across over the years. Yes it filled our bellies and I guess that was the point. I also will say the prices didn't seem outrageous, and the staff were nice. So other than food that obviously wasn't their best (at least I hope), it wasn't a bad place. Pasta Faire did seem like it really is a decent place, and maybe just had a bad day that we happened to stop in. The core experience was fine. But for us, the food just wasn't all that good. Yet I still gave them four stars even though, honestly, it probably should have been three stars. I just can't help believe we just were there on a bad day. At this point, we might try them again sometime in the future. Though after our first visit to Pasta Faire, that didn't give us the best first impression. So at this point, I would not go out of my way to try them again. Especially if it was for the meal that we just experienced and paid for. Maybe it was just a bad day for them? I...
Read moreI can't believe with all the reviews that I do that I actually left Pasta Faire out of the loop! I originally couldn't stand pasta Faire and absolutely refused to go there after trying them three times and having horrendous problems. Then new ownership took over at least a couple years ago probably more than that but we decided about a year ago to try Pasta Faire pizza. It was actually good Brick Oven made and the general consensus in the household was everybody liked it. Also they always have the two for one so it's an amazing bang for your buck. We however, have not use their table service but use their takeout service on a regular basis. Their grilled salmon salad is absolutely delicious and on takeout they wrap the same and separately and it is quite an impressive well seasoned, smoked flavor, treat for your taste buds. They will also gladly customized anything to your preference. There is Italian ride of your life on the menu, the blackened shrimp alfredo and you can add blackened chicken or anything you desire, the chicken Cassandra and the Pesce Fresco are just a few of this household favorites. Try a piece of their white chocolate orange cream cake, I usually don't eat sweets but I definitely make an exception for that. We no all of the people who answer the phone at dinner time. Madison was our original go to girl then Angela has always been fabulous, so we would definitely like to give a shout out to them for their continuous unwavering service. Christiania and Karen are kind of the New Kids on the Block but they all go out of their way to make sure our orders are correct. I cannot speak for their sit-down but I highly recommend their takeout service. If this review has helped you at all please hit the like button can let me know I got it right!...
Read moreGreat Italian in an unassuming atmosphere at a wonderful price!!! Let's start at the beginning and work our way through the night. The fresh baked bread was super. Light and with just the right crunch of the crust. They have a bottle of olive oil with a sprig of rosemary in it and bring a shaker of seasonings so you can DIY a dipping sauce just the way you like it. Perfect!! The salad was very fresh, but not extraordinary in any way. Very satisfying. The Bolognese sauce was just creamy enough and very meaty. The special (meat and sausage) sauce had great flavor, but I expected it to have a lot of meat in it. It didn't. Good thing I also ordered the Italian sausage on the side. Nice and tender. Not hot spicy, but a shaker of crushed red peppers on the table can spicy up your life. 😏 The cheese ravioli were good, but intentionally left fairly plain to allow the flavor of your chosen sauce to dictate your meal. Well done. All of the pasta was prepared nicely al dente. And then there was dessert. The Italian wedding cake was nearly spot on, nearly... It was very light and delicious but when plating it, they add dark chocolate chips on top of the slice of cake and it ruined the experience. The chips, while having a good flavor are inappropriately hard in contrast to the cake. Scrape 'em off or ask for the cake without. The service was fast but not rushed and our server was very attentive. The decor is kinda Olive Garden-ish, so it was just OK. The delicious food served here...
