Wow. Never in my life have I encountered such a rude manager (Darlene) who had zero interest in customer service and refused to allow me to return an order picked up at their store, within the return window, with zero explanation of why except that the owner (Drew) said he didn’t want to allow it. I didn’t realize companies were able to function like this and am just flabbergasted. Refusing to stand by their products and return policies, I’m not sure how that’s a thing. I will never return to this store, and would recommend you avoid it as well if you want confidence in where you shop and what you buy. On the phone with ace online customer support hoping they can make this right.
Response to “owners” comment below: Obviously whoever is in charge of responding to google reviews is neither physically working at the store, nor the owner of the store, as both were directly involved in this situation and “what happened” while I was there. Calling would resolve nothing as they were the ones this happened with.
Update: Had to drive the 45min round trip back to the store to meet with the owner on Monday, where he agreed to give me a full refund, and the store manager apologized for being so rude to me. So turned out fine in the end, but unnecessarily difficult and stressful process. Grateful things were made right, but the experience was horrible, so my family and I will not be giving them any business...
Read moreTo sad to say that today I got the worst customer service ever in the store. We are in a fix income and trying to save as much as we can so we are cooking more at home. Our gas grill of course was empty and doing at exchange is $23.99 plus tax filling the tanks is less money (18.66 to be exact) I didn’t care that I have to wait for the service because I know they are doing things to be closed in time even though they have 1 hr before closing. Well no you have the canario so I’m here outside waiting for the gentleman and this person outside old lady told me “ he is coming he is in lumber” I said “ok thanks” and I told my husband she said “ I can help you , I can just exchange it for you “. I told he no thanks is more money” and she said “ for $4 dollars” she proceeded with she change for four dollars more” so if you do the math properly $25 is what it cost to do the exchange -18 we talking about six dollars different. $6 can give me milk eggs they can give me some gas in my car they can give me I mean come on” if you make money like that is fine, but I don’t need that kind of commitment when we all trying to save. too bad I like the store and the fact that customers service is the one thing that makes them a...
Read moreWow!! You HAVE to read this if you are looking for a local hardware!!
How do I begin to tell you about how they are light years beyond those other "big box" hardware stores when it comes to customer service, friendliness, and concern.
I needed pipe parts for my new well pump switch installation and they were convenient on my way home. The parking lot was plenty busy and many folks were walking in at the same time as me do feared this was going to be a loooonnnng shopping experience. BUT...
The place was very clean, well stocked, compact, and well organized! Much easier to shop and locate items, unlike the "other" two places many of us use.
The Ace fellow I talked with instantly knew what I needed and we picked out the parts and I headed to the check out area. (And when I was heading toward the front door, he realized he had met me before at one of the clinics where I see patients. Small world, huh?)
Then the customer service rep/cashier was quick, efficient, friendly, wore a huge smile, and had an attractive hand tattoo.
So, kudos to them both! A dreaded experience was turned into a delightful experience and I was done in probably four minutes. Easy peasy.
Will...
