My wife and I get Popeye's at least once a month to get her chicken fix in. The wife orders online and pays online. She ordered our food on a Saturday at 7:38pm. We only live about 4 minutes from the restaurant. So I went to pick it up and there was a line in the drive thru that was wrapped around out into the road in downtown Merritt Island at least a mile long. I tried to go inside to pick up our order since that's the way we ordered it, but this Popeye's for some reason always has their dining room locked down. Even tho we're in phase 3 with the covid and restaurants are allowed 100% capacity again, they've got their doors locked by 7:30pm if they ever had them open! So I had to go back into the mile long line to pick my paid for food up in drive thru. I finally get to the speaker after waiting 40 minutes!! I tell them my wife placed our order online and paid already and they say well they'll have to look for it and have me pull up. I get to the window about 15 minutes later and the girl tells me they found the order, but they have to bake the pies. She wants to know if I would be okay skipping the pies? I'm like no, I paid for them already. So they have me pull off to the side and wait for my order. I sat there for another 35 minutes and the girl brings out my order of 2 chicken sandwich combos with drinks, large fries and 3 raspberry cream cheese pies and tells me that they were out of Cole Slaw so they just gave me red beans and rice for both combos instead. By this time I had already been here trying to get my order for an hour and half and didn't feel like arguing about them giving me whatever side they chose so I went home. I get home and start to eat my food and find that the chicken breast on mine and my wife's sandwich isn't only old, but overcooked! Our fries were old and cold, not to mention they looked undercooked. This has been our experience I'd have to say the past 5 or so times we've ordered there. They don't care if they give out old food and won't do anything to fix the issues. You try to call the manager, but nobody EVER answers Popeye's phone! I like Popeye's food and my wife loves their chicken. So I don't want to stop getting food there, they just need to start making sure they give fresh food! I still can't for the life of me understand why we got old, cold food for as busy as they were they should've had nothing but fresh food! I've now left it up to the wife to call their corporate number to try and get something done being as we spend a lot of money with them and a lot of the time they'll forget half the order and by the time I've gotten home I'm not going back out to go pick up what they never gave us. We need another Popeye's in Merritt Island and we need better service in the one...
Read moreUsually I am driving with my husband however I was not this day decided to sit in the long drive-through line to try what everybody seems to be all excited about and the Popeyes Drive-In was extremely long in fact it was wrapped around once with two lines and then it was actually down the side street upon finally getting there I had realized it took me 1 hour and a half to get to the actual ordering and then it took me about another 20 minutes to get to the window where you get your food when I got there I picked up my food from the lady in the Drive-Thru however I'm pulling forward slightly I'm looking and over half of my food was missing they did not give us any drinks neither did they ask us if we wanted anything else in substitution of the fact that they had absolutely no tea made not that they didn't have any tea they had none made and was unwilling to make any we were supposed to have 2 gallons of tea and we had none and no other drinks were even offered free of charge or otherwise so buying five meals is supposed to come with two sides so there should have been 10 sides we received only two sides and they were not even sides that we ordered as far as the meals go there was supposed to be five actual dinner meals with the two sides we received three of them this is the worst possible place on top of all this when I finally got home to eat what I had gotten from there I ended up with food poisoning from the food my husband did also both of us were sick for nearly two days with an upset stomach, diarrhea and vomiting from eating just there they deserve to be closed or someone needs to come in and overhaul the place and actually put into place critical things like temperature controls how long food stays up for this restaurant is a health hazard it...
Read moreI’m vey upset. I had to cancel my order because it took so long and my bus came. Every 2 days I go to dialysis and I stop by 3 days and ordered before I come . Because It takes me 15 minutes to get up to 520. Get there was waiting for my food. Then my bus came. The bus runs every hour. I just wanted something simple this day. Because it’s always a hassle and wait for fried chicken. I call on the fall to explain that I could come Thursday my next treatment. Robert proceeded to tell me. That he couldn’t honor my meal. It’s shameful and disgusting the customer service I receive. I eat here 3 days a week. Makes angry because I always order there and ladies always gave great customer service. This man was acting nasty like he’s in New Orleans. Because it would have went a way he never experienced in Florida. This county is nice. Yet you will always meet someone that ruins everyone else’s experience. Robert did that today.Theres no reason for you to order ahead because you will always have to wait. But it’s good before 2 pm. I just recently totaled my vehicle. Reason I’m on the bus. Yet I think I would have to ad them to my list of restaurants I don’t eat at. I guess it will be mom and pops and Krunchy chicken.
