One of the staff was very rude when it came to returns. I was trying to find a good skin care line and several products did not work for me. I was told with my first return that you are only allowed 3 returns without a receipt (completely understandable). Well today was my second return without a recipt ( along with two items with a receipt). One of the staff said "you have done this several times, we will not do any more returns for you." I asked even with a receipt and she said, again, very flatly and uncaringly "we will not do any more returns for you." I said "ok, what do you recommend if I want to try a new product?" She replies very sarcastically "well I would recommend just making sure you are going to keep what you buy, but we're not doing any more returns for you." Needless to say by this point I was pretty frustrated. She also made many other unprofessional comments, like saying they limit returns because "it's very inconvenient" for them because it "takes time out of their day." Or bringing up Walmart's return policy (which she was wrong about). Even worse, once I corrected her, she contradicted herself, by saying "well this is Rutebega's, not Walmart" after she brought up Walmart in the first place. This is all on top of her confrontational attitude from the get go. Only after I became noticeably agitated did she back track and say "we have samples," or "maybe you should call the company and ask for samples." The whole situation was just handled so poorly, especially considering the only things I've ever returned are skin care products that made me break out and tea that caused stomach upset. It's a shame because this place is so great otherwise, but now I don't feel comfortable buying anything from this store because I'm just out of luck if it doesn't work or...
Read moreThis is my FAVORITE PLACE TO GO IN INVERNESS. No exaggeration - My truth!
Even though I live in Crystal River, I will make sure I plan my day around making a stop at Rutabagas for my wholesome holistic health needs not only for myself, but also for my loved ones who are ready to make healthy improvements in their lives.
Even if my work schedule prevents me from enjoying their freshly made Cafe items- I can usually grab something from the fridge section to nourish me on the go. Which helps prevent me from eating convenient naughty foods & nourish myself fulfillingly (new word) until I make it home.
The other amazing fact about this place is how KNOWLEDGEABLE & Supportive their staff is, when it comes to cheerfully directing you to the healing items needed for any health issue we encounter in our daily life.
100000% Recommend Rutabagas for your whole family's holistic nourishment & healing necessities. My family loves this business & I pray they continue to flourish successfully! (possibly even expanding to Crystal River if we get...
Read moreI would have loved to give rutabagas 4 stars, however the customer service needs improvement and this applies to Crystal in the cafe. it just seemed getting help to buy soup for myself was the most inconvenient part of her day, as she was chopping vegetables. When I first approached the counter, she glanced at me, then proceeded to continue cutting the vegetables. I stood and waited by the register thinking that she would say anything to acknowledge me. When she did not, I then moved in front of the counter, I said, "I'm ready when you are" she turned, looked at me and replied, "you need to stand over there" (referring to the register). at this point she is still cutting and I did not move and she gave me the same command again but this time with a bit of an attitude as if I inconvenienced her...."you need to go stand over there" at the last minute I decided not to buy from the cafe with her help because I did not want her energy in the food I would consume. Very disappointing customer...
