They keep increasing prices and charge for extras that other places would not normally charge. Salads go up on price and yet a head of lettuce has not. Fries go up in price and yet last I checked potatoes are not imported from China and subject to tariffs. Any reason to start randomly raising prices hear and there is what one would call price gouging. Responses from the owner regarding price are basically all the same. He's comparing what other people charge and not validating rise with his costs. So if they charge $10 for fries, so should I even though I do not have a reason to. If the prices for food ever go down, you think you would see them lower the prices on their menu? Doubt it. For the most part, the food is GOOD. If you're willing to pay good money for it, but if you were a long time local, you'll find that you may have to look elsewhere if you ate there plenty.
Update to response from owner: First of all, thank you for your very timely response. Not too many businesses do that and it shows you that you care. Small fries on your menu $4.69, just to point that our. I was being kinda facetious with my response. Yes... I agree with you that there are other circumstances that may force you to increase prices. I knew that and thought you would respond in that manner. Just not using a comparison what other stores charge. When I hear that, it's like someone selling their house and making a huge profit and then the next person hearing of that, doing the same and then before you know it, either you can't afford to live in a neighborhood or you don't have disposable cash for other things, like take out, vacations, or other stuff to do where you support local businesses. Unfortunately it is what it is, but that means that most people lose. Sucks if you bought your house for $200k 5 years ago and I bought it now for $450k and now I have a huge mortgage and less cash to spend. So, with all this being said, if your costs keep going up, then what can you do? You can only absorb so much. Sad for the locals who love your food, but little by little more is taken out of their pockets. Your food obviously is great and hopefully your recurring customers will dig a little deeper into their...
Read moreI have been going here for probably. I mean the first one I went to was on gulf to Bay Belcher and my boyfriend from high school used to work there. Read moreNormally I have a great experience at this location but tonight was different...The woman working the register and drive thru was severely lacking in customer service skills. There was no greeting or smile, just,Dine In or Carry Out? I told her Dine In. She then tried to rush my husband and I through our order and kept asking,"Is that it?",after every item and just not showing even a fake general interest in us at all. My husband didn't even order everything he wanted because of her attitude. We sat a table and waited for our food. Another woman brought our food out in a Carry Out bag and my husband told her that we were dining in and then accompanied her to the counter to get ketchup. The second woman told the first woman that our order was supposed to be a dine in, to which she replied in a sarcastic tone,"Well that's just lovely." At this point my husband is angry but still well mannered,we both have worked with the public for over 10 years and don't like to disrespect others,he tells her we told you we were dining in. She ignored him and started to argue with one of the cooks. While eating we got more examples of her poor customer service listening to the drive thru orders. This is just one bad experience and I love the food so I will return, but hopefully when I do,she is no...
