Barracuda Deli Cafe Seminole — Restaurant in Seminole

I was in the area and looked up the highest rated restaurants nearby. Fortunately for me, this one popped up pretty high on the list, so I made a bee-line to it. Lucky for me, I arrived at about 6:00 PM, not aware that they closed at 7:00 pm. I was the only customer there at the time.

The staff was very friendly. Turns out it was the owner's Momma. He was very friendly as well, and sweet to his mother. That counts for me.

She tried to talk me into a Cuban, but I opted for the Don in the small size. She told me it was still a good choice. You can get various choices, so I took the Red Beans and Rice with freshly chopped onions.

If you intend to come here and order a large, you'd better bring an appetite. Between the small and the red beans and rice, I was about to bust a gut. I can only imagine someone eating this much food. You'd have to be a bigger man (or woman) than me.

The Red Beans and Rice are easily a meal by themselves and I could have eaten more of them because the flavor was incredible. The sandwich was extremely fulfilling - and filling. Between the owner's attitude and the food, this is a definite do-over. I can enjoy the food and watching him treat his mother with such respect. ...

5/16/20: Am editing this review from 11 months ago to let people know that in this time of social-distancing, etc., that here is a safe and friendly place to sit down and have a delicious meal. My husband & I just came from there and really enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere. He had their fantastic Reuben and I had the nachos. Frosty cold beers, too. Lovely to see Manny & Maria again!

We are return customers here, because the food is so good you will want to come back again to try more selections on their menu. Everything tastes fresh and homemade. The potato salad is the best I've ever had! Delicious sandwiches; they know how to make a Reuben right. Excellent Cubans. Mojo Pork Heaven. Beer on tap. You'll be delighted with the Oh My Nachos!!! We love the very nice couple who run this place. ♡ And the atmosphere is so nice and comfortable :-) You'll likely be very full and satisfied, so take some dessert home with you. Our second visit to this local family run business this week. Friendly and flavorable food. On the first visit I had a small mojo heaven which is a pressed sandwich containing roasted pork, swiss, pickles, mustard and mayo. The "small" was plenty for two and includes side item, I selected red beans and rice...not too spicy. On visit today ordered Tres Tacos, one each soft taco with pulled chicken, pulled mojo, and Spanish ground beef with side of black beans and rice...so much flavor!

In both visits my husband ordered Spanish ground beef enchiladas...so cheesy and awesome that he had to have them again today.

Restaurant is open and clean and family is friendly and extremely accommodating. Located in Seminole however today we drove there from St Petersburg with no business in the area just for more of their food. Would give more than 5...
