If Hardy's and big boy had a love child and served seafood that is what shrimp shack is. Disgusting food. I have never had issues with finishing food that wasn't my favorite but this I could not eat. Big waste of money. Will never return to this Disgusting and dirty establishment. My son and I both got food poisoning. Edit. I learned there is an edit function on these posts just now. I spoke to the manager today about our experience fro. Sunday. He was professional with how he spoke to me about the experience and said that my son and I getting sick 30 or so minutes after eating is not possible food poisoning. He said it should be closer to 24 hours to be food poisoning and asked if i have dr. Proof that we got food poisoning. If that is true then we were not, but both of us were sick after eating a couple of bites of the blackened chicken and a bite of cheese stick there and no one out of the seven of us were sick other than us. So leave it to a Dr. To decide what that was. He also apologized and said it was a fluke that it was dirty And said they pride themselves with cleanliness. He said with it being so busy on Sunday that I must have come in before it was cleaned up. Facts about this place: our experience was not good Food was not good. My uncle had pop spilled on his back by one of the waitresses. The bathrooms were very dirty. The waitress was great . The owner has my number to call if they need more information about my experience. The response BY THE OWNER to my initial review was far from professional. The proper response would have been an apology and reassurance that this must have been a fluke to please reach out and speak with them personally to better understand what happened. EVERYONE HAS THE RIGHT TO LEAVE HONEST OPINIONS WITHOUT BEING THREATENED. I have nothing to gain from leaving a bad review. We live in America. Last I checked, we have the right to free speech. Message to the owner.. if you wish to speak to me, you...
Read moreOh, Shrimp Shack, how do I love thee? Let me count the ways!
First, there's the location: 13361 Metro Pkwy, Fort Myers, FL, where the palms sway lazily in the warm Florida breeze, framing the quirky and charming facade of the Shrimp Shack like a postcard. Stepping inside is like stumbling upon an eccentric, shabby-chic beach house, filled with love, laughter, and of course, the alluring scent of shrimp sizzling away.
Now, let's talk shrimp, the star of the show! These crustaceans might have a shrimp's stature, but they pack a whale of a flavor. Steamed, fried, grilled, broiled, served in a bucket, slathered in sauce, nestled in a po' boy, or starring in a taco, every dish is a love letter to shrimp. The Shrimp Shack’s menu is a seafood lover’s dream come true.
The Bangin' Buffalo Shrimp? They'll have you begging for mercy...and more! The Classic Shrimp Scampi? Transports you straight to Italy with each garlic-buttery bite. And the signature Shrimp Shack Jambalaya? Oh boy, every mouthful is a spicy, smoky, shrimpy symphony that sings the blues right into your soul.
But let's not forget about the side dishes. You can't pass up the hush puppies, corn on the cob, and coleslaw that taste as if Grandma herself is in the back, cooking up a storm.
The staff? All-star lineup! They're like a sea-salty sitcom cast with enough charm and wit to keep you entertained between bites. They're quick on their feet, always sporting a friendly smile, and eager to ensure your experience is as pleasing as a cool ocean breeze.
Oh, and did I mention the cold, frothy local beers they serve? A fantastic way to wash down those mouth-watering shrimp dishes.
The Shrimp Shack is a shrimp lover's delight, a charming dive tucked away on Metro Parkway where food and fun meet. If you're ever in Fort Myers, FL, make sure to drop anchor at the Shrimp Shack. Just be prepared to leave a bit of your heart behind because this place will reel you in, hook,...
Read moreWe love eating at Shrimp Shack - absolutely love the service we get from the awesome servers Nita & Peggy - we always look forward to seeing them when we come to dine! Shrimp Shack in always accommodating to our Service Dog as well until just a few visits ago the hostess Toni (much older gal) would not let our friends go get a beer at the bar while they were waiting for us to get there because they mentioned (mind you mentioned) that they were meeting friends with a dog & she right away said to them they were not allowed in the restaurant and they could not come in?? Like what the heck was that kind of treatment for…1-they didn’t have the dog 2-they just wanted a beer while waiting for us 3-plain and simply bad customer service and RUDE! Honestly we should have went someplace else to eat that night because of that treatment but we love the food there. Also it is sad that ONE EMPLOYEE can ruin it for an ENTIRE ESTABLISHMENT!! When we arrived my spouse let this hostess Toni know we were there and that we had a Service Dog & if we wanted to sit inside the restaurant we could without grief but we love to sit outside so that was our plan - so she just told us to go grab a table no more questions asked!! I’m sorry but this type of treatment weighs heavily on my heart as she Toni had no right to treat our friends the way she did nor should she ever treat any customers with such rudeness - is it possible that it is time for this employee to move on or perhaps retire - your restaurant is to nice for...
