Smoothie King — Restaurant in Florida

Absolutely ridiculous. The store refused to take a $100 Bill and they laughed at me and told me to “go to the bank” because they don’t take anything bigger than $20. I work in surgery and don’t have time to go to the bank…

Understandable cash protocol, but the employee attitude was not.

A $100 bill states “this note is legal tender for ALL debts, public and private.”

I consider todays transgressions an insult, unamerican, and poor business practice. I may reach out to the BBB.

Perhaps train the employees on customer service, or stock a register capable of supporting a business. Feel free to make things right, the ball is in your court.

EDIT* your original rude response spoke for itself, I didn’t appreciate the personal attack calling me a 1 star American when my bloodline actively fights for our freedom, and my forefathers served and were severely injured so you could franchise a smoothie king.

Smoothie King's all seem to be pretty much the same, and I like them as they are a great alternative to greasy fast food that is unhealthy. I like to get the peanut butter smoothie loaded with protein and lots of extra peanut butter and a touch of strawberry's blended in.

My buddy and I were in a hurry so we called them up and placed our order, and by the time we arrived, our order was almost completed for us. So bonus points for the guys taking care of us quickly. This location was very clean and looked nice, was lit up very well and easy to find in the strip mall on the main road.

To save money, you can order a large, which is really big, then pour part of it into a cup to share with another person instead of buying 2 separate drinks. As long as you both like the same smoothie. The cost may seem a bit high to some people, but for the healthy drink you get it's worth it and your body will thank...

The reason I am giving 2 stars is because I ordered a smoothie online through smoothie kings website and the first time it told me to "try again later" when I tried to pay. So I reloaded the page and ordered again. This time it went through. When I got to smoothie king they had made AND charged me for 2 smoothies... I was alone and did not need 2 smoothies and since it was a malfunction on their website I thought they would refund me for one of them. But instead when I told the lady what happened she was very rude to me and told me "sorry next time you need to check your bank account before ordering a 2nd one" that makes no sense to me because it told me the payment didn't go through. She wouldn't refund me for one of them and just kept telling me there was nothing she could do. The smoothie tasted good but this poor customer service was really...
