WE LOVE THIS RESTAURANT! We dined on February 13, 2021, and loved everything we experienced! My fiancee had the Chef Signature (Veal Sweetbreads). His comment....amazing! My daughter had Poulet a la Normande, and loved it. The mushrooms in her entree were spectacular! Over the top fresh and cooked to perfection! (We shamelessly argued about who was taking her leftovers for lunch the next day..I won! Yippee!) I had the Filet de Grouper a la Dieppoise...and was trying to figure out ways to lick my plate UNSEEN. I decided not to risk it, sadly. That's how amazing our experience was! The fish was perfect, and the vegetables were plump, juicy and so flavorful. The sauces on every dish were spectacular, filled with flavor, aromas, and texture. The entrees we selected were each very different, so we had a nice time sampling each others' choices. We also had the Terrine de Fois Gras, and Croustillant de Brie au miel as appetizers. For desserts we had the Apple Strudel, Hazelnut dacquoise, and Nougat glace. We were way to full to even ponder dessert, but it was a must. And we were glad we did. We took a vote, and everyone loved the apple dessert the most. We dined and stuffed ourselves silly! (but we did have superb leftovers). The portions were not huge, but we did order a lot of food. The main reason for this was that EVERYTHING on the menu was appealing to us! The solution? We will be returning, soon! LOVED it! This Ukrainian family-owned, charming and authentic French restaurant is expertly and efficiently run by Chef Sergiy, wife/hostess and waitress Galyna and assistant waitress Alina (Sergiy’s daughter). My wife Jackie and I first ate here years ago, when it was owned by a French couple, and the food was very good at that time. But then this lovely Ukrainian family bought it a few years ago and, in their meticulous care, the food is even significantly much better than it was before! At our very recent dinner there for Jackie’s birthday, Chef Sergiy created her favorite dessert, especially as a surprise for her birthday: Ile Flottante (Floating Island). It was stunningly delicious! You might wonder how it is that this lovely Ukrainian family can expertly prepare and serve simply delicious authentic French cuisine with warm smiles and cheerful courtesy, when their original homeland far away is being destroyed by a ruthless invader? Tartine & Tartelette is a quaint restaurant serving fine French food. The menu is small but that’s because Chef Sergiy prepares the food himself. The evening we went he was a one man show. An expert Chef and Waiter.
This is a quiet restaurant with no hustle and bustle.
Generous in his portions and a strict attention to detail. Not the typical chain restaurant that re heats food.
Onion soup is a meal in of itself.
Main course of Bourguinon and Poulette were amazing!
Definitely a must try. We will return. Next time I will request his specialty.
Ample parking, convenient location. Close to the beach to enjoy a sunset.
