TLDR: We ordered take-out. Everything was fresh, very flavorful, and nothing but amazing. Even the sides that come with the platters. The owner/chef kept thanking me for choosing his place to eat and cared if we liked the food he made. The quality of the food certainly showed that care. Please try it! Al Shishkebob just opened in the Regency Plaza strip-mall. We have been wanting to try it since we first saw that it was opening soon. Let me tell you, we are SO glad we did! So many places that open near us turn out to be disappointing. I'm not a foodie or by any means an expert. I just love really good food. That's exactly what you get from Al Shishkebob!

We ordered the Tikka Masala, the Chicken Shawarma Grilled Wrap, the 3 Item Platter (Falafel, Beef Shawarma, Chicken Kebob), and the Eggplant Dip (Baba Ganoush) for take-out. The meat was tender and flavorful, and the Baba, which comes with bread pieces, was awesome! The sides that come with the platters (Hummus, Yellow Rice (Basmati), House Salad (Tomatoes, Onions, Cucumber, in a vinegary sauce), and the Yogurt Sauce) were just as fresh and flavorful as everything else. Nothing we had disappointed.

Just for comparison, our favorite Indian place is Curry Leaves in Tampa and is worth the drive from Port Richey.
