I cannot believeThat this placeWent from the best to the worst.. I've ordered from this restaurant Many times. The food was always good. Then all of a sudden something happened. I think possibly new owners Because now the restauranrIs bottom of the barrel..Ordered two subs they were both unedible edible.call Called to fixThe issueAnd some little kid that was working in the front counterAnswered the phone. Told me the owner would call me back. But he never did.Seems like the owner had to hide behind a kid I won't yell at a kid. It's like the owner has to hide behind a woman's skirt. He obviously does not care about his businessPeriod or he would call back like promised. Also the front of the front of the house Was Extremely dirty. When you first walk in on the right hand side all along the wall down the hall to the back of the house was at least 8 inches of dust bunnies and dirt looked like it had not been swept or mopped in weeks. Tables We're dirty and sticky.Back to the foodExtremely small portionsAnd the chicken parm subWas like they breaded pulledSo it was well overcookedWas like chewingA leather beltAnd had no sauce on it whatsoeverThe sausage parmesan subWas about four quarters of an inch to an inch thickPieces of sausage on each side. With no sauce. Not even worth half of what they chargedI never leave bad reviews but this time I felt it was a must. For...
Read moreI tried this place without reading any reviews and I’m not one to really leave a bad review considering my experience as owning and operating restaurants in the past. I also want to say I come from North Jersey, where are you surrounded by great pizza whether it be New Jersey, Connecticut, or New York.
I got here a little after the opened and no slices were ready yet which is fine. I was told 10 minutes, I ordered, paid and ran an errond and was back in about 12 minutes and I still sat for another eight minutes until I got my pizza.
When I grabbed it, it reminded me of a pillow that I sleep on. , I think this was frozen or leftover and heated up in a microwave. I truly believe there’s no way this was in a pizza oven. The taste of the cheese and sauce was not bad, but the crust and dough must be the worst thing I’ve ever seen in my life. I would also like to mention that all the dining room tables were dirty, which means no one clean them last night, the soap in the bathroom barely comes out and the hot water doesn’t even work. People that have given this place a five star review stating that the food is excellent probably should never eat out again and they should never leave a review again.
On the good note, the two employees I dealt with were extremely nice. I’m not sure if this was an oversight or if this is how they serve their pizza but pizza should be crispy...
Read moreAfter trying several pizza places in the area I’d put Gia’s in my top three if some areas were improved. The flavor of the pizza was very good, everything tasted fresh. They season their sauce a little more than most places but it wasn’t overwhelming, it was near perfect. The pizza was a little too undercooked for me, as it was kind of soggy. I like pizza that can hold a little shape, ideally pizza will have a slightly crisp bottom and not flop over. The zeppoles also tasted very good, however, in addition to powdered sugar they use granulated sugar and to me that’s just overkill. If you have a serious sweet tooth then go for it, it’s not like they were so sweet they couldn’t be eaten. I just didn’t as many as I normally would have. I’d order them sans granulated sugar next time because the texture and flavor was pretty good. You get a decent portion for the price as well. I’d order here again, and just ask for some things...
