Sospiri - Italian Cafe and Gelato — Restaurant in Florida

Absolutely appalling experience. I walked into this ice cream shop genuinely excited to try something new with my family — but what we got instead was a masterclass in rudeness and poor customer service.

The woman behind the counter couldn’t have made it more obvious that we were inconveniencing her. The moment I politely asked to sample a flavor (as anyone would when trying a new place, especially with dietary sensitivities), she rolled her eyes like I had asked for something outrageous. After reluctantly giving me a taste of the limoncello, she sharply informed me I was only allowed to try one flavor. One. That’s it. No exceptions — not even for kids or dietary concerns.

How exactly is a family supposed to spend money here if we’re not even allowed to know what we’re getting? The tone, the attitude, the total lack of basic courtesy — it all screams of a business that doesn’t value customers and clearly doesn’t want to stay open long. If they’re this stingy with samples, I can only imagine how corner-cutting they are with everything else.

There are too many friendly, welcoming ice cream spots in town to waste your time (or money) on one where you’re treated like a burden for simply trying to make an informed choice. Avoid this place unless you enjoy being treated like you’re...

If I could give no stars i would! Absolute horrible service! Asked for a sample, got one, asked to try a second and was told that I could only taste one. Ok, strange and not very customer friendly when you are going to spend 6.50 on a tiny cup of geloto. My friend ordered the strawberry cheesecake and she didn't put any strawberry sauce in the cup and when he asked for some of it (it was all over the top of the gelato in the case) the clerk insisted that she put some of the sauce in the bottom. He dug around in in and there was nothing in there. She insisted 4 more times when he said there was none in his cup. I finally asked her to scoop him some of the strawberry and put it on top of his cup. She gave him the tiniest spoon of strawberry sauce possible. The gelato was ok, nothing to rave about and definitely nothing to go through horrible service for. We all left very dissatisfied...

Read some good reviews about this place so because I was waiting for my apple appointment, I figured instead of Starbucks I would try it here. The guy was nice. I walk in for cappuccino and decide to ask to try a few gelatos with my coffee. The gelato samples I tried wasn’t bad. I try 2 samples and ask for 1 more. His response was “2 samples per guest”. I was a little shocked...I was not a hard customer and was very stern and was going to buy a gelato from him. So I did not give him any freebie vibes. You would think a good business with great customer service would just give another sample to try their gelato, but no not here. They lost my business and I will not be back to try their gelato.
