Long story short- Came for pizza, ended up calling the cops because the owners verbally assaulted me and my friends so we left because we felt unsafe and uncomfortable.
Meanwhile I see the owner has just responded to my comment falsely- saying that we brought food from another establishment and got upset that they told us to leave. It’s a shame that they didn’t mention verbally assaulting us. To start from the beginning me and some of my friends got chipotle while two of my other friends wanted pizza. We arrived to the restaurant and sat outside at a table while my friends went inside to ask for pizza. The owners very rudely denied them and told them to “get out” before they could even order. We were just about to leave when they came outside and began full on screaming at us. In the end all we wanted was some pizza while the rest of us ate chipotle; we were even going to order a whole pizza and split it but they didn’t even give us a chance to order pizza because they were too busy screaming at us. I can completely understand a restaurant asking people to leave if they will not be buying however, we were going to buy and tried but I guess they jumped the gun and instead of politely asking us to leave they screamed at us publicly. All we wanted was some pizza. Honestly I’m glad we didn’t even get a chance to order the pizza because I would never give my business to someone who treats anyone the way they treated us. I wouldn’t even bother commenting if I didn’t have such a terrible experience nor would I have bothered calling the cops if I didn’t feel very threatened and unsafe. As you have witnesses so do we- they saw how poorly your treated us for absolutely no reason- it seems you are the one preforming...
Read moreAsked, "do you sell pizza by-the-slice?" Man told me to "get out", so I left without further inquiry. Then, a woman, presumably the owner, came out and started yelling at me and my friends, who were sitting outside. She pushed me aside and yelled at us for bringing Chipotle to the tables outside the restaurant even though we were going to order food from her, which she rejected. The man then drove up and started screaming at us, got out of the car like he was going to get physical, then got back in the car and drove away. I do NOT recommend this place. Maybe these guys were having a tough day, but they were SUPER rude for no reason. I've never had such a negative, scary experience at a restaurant, especially since I just asked if they sold slices of pizza.
In response to the owner: Thanks for the reply. However, we went in (without our outside food) to ask if you sold sliced pizza. I asked for a plastic fork once. You said no, we got out of the store and we were about to leave, but we didn't get the chance because you began yelling at us. I'm not complaining about not being able to eat Chipotle in the outdoor seating of your establishment -- I understand that. I'm complaining about the ridiculous way you handled the situation. Also, there was no one else there, so we weren't taking up any...
Read moreI only write a review if a business truly stands out to me. Therefore, I am giving 5 stars for Amore! If you want Authentic, delicious Italian food, Amore is the place to go! We took our Estero High Life Skills class there today and were greeted with open arms, big smiles and kindness by owner's, Anna and Massimo, and the most wonderful server, Krista (who is going to be a great teacher someday). Our students all had pizza, which everyone absolutely loved and was cooked to perfection in the brick oven. Others ordered meatball subs and salad. I ordered the Mediterranean calzone which was stuffed full of fresh ingredients and almost as big as my arm. Everyone... students and teachers were very pleased and extremely satisfied with the taste and portion size of the food and the wonderful people at Amore! If they are not super busy and you get the chance to chat with them, they make you feel welcome and like family. The owners are from Naples, not Florida...Naples, Italy. So, you know they really know what they're doing around the kitchen. Anna makes an incredible marinara sauce which I love so much, I would drink it out of a cup. I wish I had taken pictures of the pizza, but only snapped one of my calzone. The name of the restaurant really suits it, AMORE, because once you go, you...
