California Pizza Kitchen at Coconut Point — Restaurant in Bonita Springs

EDIT: I question the sincerity of the reply to my review below because ive called the corporate phone number to leave feedback MULTIPLE TIMES and elevator music plays and nobody ever answers.

This place is going DOWNHILL. There are reasons why this restaurant is always empty. Dave, who probably is between 55 and 60 is the bartender and server who has the WORST ATTITUDE I've ever seen. Dave's name is mentioned several times in other bad reviews here and its because he is a toxic cancer to this establishment. He is nasty and a miserable old man who has no place being anywhere near a customer but he cant get a good job elsewere so CPK keeps him employed simply because he doesnt call out or no show. I go out of my way to ask that he NOT be my server and I was told by the hostess that im not alone and that numerous customers are tired of Dave. The fact that Dave still has a job speaks to the lack of good management here. The GM is actually OK and one of the managers is excellent but the other manager DUSTIN is sour with no personality and very unpleasant to deal with. I'm likely one of the stores best customers over the last 2 years, yet I continue to have problems with the their horrible service and bad attitude. Today, I got 2 take and bake pizzas and as I was checking out speaking to Dustin, the manager on duty, a bartender/ waiter named DAVE, with whom Ive had a problem before walked right by me and said " seriously ??? " under his breath. I asked if I did sonething wrong and he immediately got defensive and with a bad attitude said " I wasn't talking to you !That was directed at the waitress." I was taken aback - here i am spending $50 on takeout and he speaks to me like this ? I looked at the manager, Dustin, for help addressing his employee and to provide to help him and he said it wasn't his issue or problem and he basically didnt want to get involved...WOW! this is coming from someone who is SUPPOSED to be a manager /leader ? Afterwards , I called back to let them know my points from my last 2 visits were missing and Dustin once again didnt want to help or be a leader and he took zero responsibilty. He told me he could only make sure I got my CPK $ from today's visit when I know that's NOT true. He had gotten involved and helped me get more missing CPK $ from visits awhile ago- so he wasnt being truthful today, in my opinion. Dustin is just not qualified to be a manager- they need to replace him and im going to suggest that leadership changes will help the morale and revenue generation of this poorly run restaurant. Besides rewards and CPK $ missing regulary, orders are often missing items and they rarely answer their phones, so good luck if you need to reach them. I still may order pizza here occasionally but this shouldn't be a first or second choice. I eat out or get takeout consistently from about 10 restaurants locally and this is THE ONLY ESTABLISHMENT that I regulary have complaints against because they just cant seem to get things right no matter how hard they try- which is...

I used to love this place. I've purchased so many gift cards. My last visit will be my last visit. It was a takeout order. I ordered the Thai crunch salad, which has always been my favorite. The salad was old and wilted and it just look like it was haphazardly thrown together with zero care and no attention to detail. They failed to include the peanut dressing which is what makes the salad. I also ordered two pizzas. Both of them were burnt and dry. Additionally, I ordered an entree which I can't even remember what it was because it was totally forgettable. I asked for bread with the meal and they included 2 pieces 2in slices of bread that were hard. For pickup orders you enter through the side door. There was nobody at the counter and there was nobody in sight. I waited a couple minutes and then I stuck my head around the corner in the dining room to see if I could get anybody's attention and a large man with a black mask told me, in a not-so-pleasant tone, and that I can't stand there and can't I read the sign. Then he realized it was no sign and then he yelled at somebody to put up a sign . I've had such a good experience here in the past that it pains me to write this review. There was no difference in the barbecue chicken pizza that I got there and the ones that you buy Frozen at the grocery store, except that I wouldn't burn it. The food was absolutely amazing we had a spicy chipotle chicken pizza on cauliflower crust, the tequila lime chicken pasta, and the Cali club egg rolls as an appetizer. The food was delicious but the server we had was not good at all. I have been in this industry for 20 years and rarely say service was bad to the point of one star but this girl had a earpiece in and looked to be on the phone. There were no plates, silverware, or napkins brought out with our appetizer. We ordered our drinks with the appetizer and they came out a good 5-10 min after the appetizer. We ordered our pizza and pasta a few minutes after the appetizer arrived the pizza came out and about 10-15 minutes later the pasta came out the server asked if we wanted Parmesan I said yes she never returned until the pasta was almost gone because we got sick of waiting, mind you I watched a table of three come 10 minutes after us and receive fast service with an attentive server literally a table away. I would definitely eat the food again because it was amazing but maybe at a different location or request a different server or maybe just get it to go.
