After waiting behind 10-12 cars ahead of me I finally got up to the ordering hub. I ordered my two drinks. When I got to the window, they refused to allow me to use a 100 dollar bill. Now, every single spot in the parking lot was full. Inside the store was packed. I’ve used this Starbucks hundreds of times and it’s always busy! This wasn’t JUSTJ after opening! It was 1pm and at a Starbucks location that happens to be one the busiest in the area.
I really needed to use the cash to prevent from running to the bank to add cash as I had a bill payment about to hit, and a medical issue I’m handling. I pleaded with the manager that my cashier bright over but still no.
THEN….. after all that, I asked for a cup of cold milk the side (already paid up-charge for whole milk in my coffee) to cool down the coffee, and the employee with blonde hair and a ponytail (not wearing her name tag) who was checking me out and had gotten the manager about the 100 bill, acted like it was a huge bother to get me the cold cup of milk! It was already embarrassing enough that I had to go through begging to use my cash and had to share that funds were low on my debit card, but then that made me feel much worse! She went over to get the cold milk complaining about it/me to the girl next to her, and then with a stiff and cold expression/body language handed the small cup of cold milk to me. I said thank you, but only got a shortly said, “yeah no problem” said with a tone that felt like what she was really saying was, “you are not welcome and I’m not here to serve you with good quality customer service”.
I still tipped on the order, BUT…
I just wonder where the customer service is these days?! Are the employees not being treated right? Are they not taught right anymore? Is no one willing to go the extra step for loyal customers anymore?
14 bucks on a cup of coffee some steamed milk is A LOT for some of us and a treat when we do get to do it. I don’t appreciate the service at all today and am only voicing this in hopes that some efforts to better the customer service at this location will result from...
Read moreHonestly, Starbucks as a whole is just going down hill, especially in this area.
Order 4 mobile drinks 15 minutes ahead for pickup via drive through. Drive through wait was about another 10 minutes. Once I got to the window the employee was just completely rude. I waited another 5-7 minutes at the window (with little to no interaction or induction that I was there and when I did get interaction it was just rude.)
I ordered these drinks for wife and 2 other family members. When I got home (less than a 7 minute drive) the wife informed me they were all wrong. She ordered 3 chai tea lattes and a cold brew with white mocha and chocolate mocha drizzle. Neither syrups were present and the chais tasted like just milk. (See pictures)
When we called Starbucks customer support, they said we’ve called previously with incorrect orders and that we would have to go to the store and get a refund, very rudely might I add. I never received the name of the support agent, just a hard sigh, a no and hang up.
Honestly, if you don’t want to go to work, don’t. Find another job or be an adult.
Only giving two stars because after I went back, and waited in line (inside this time) for about 10 minutes, and got the drinks remade they came out a lot closer to what was ordered. Even then they still completely missed a drink but 3/4 where now what was ordered and tasted like chai!
I shouldn’t have to go to a store 2 times and get a rude customer service experience on the phone because other people cannot do their job correctly. I ordered ahead so they could have the order correct. This isn’t the first, second or third time. It’s a hit or miss with this place. Not just in customer service / experience but in the drink creations themselves. Most times ( maybe 50-70%) my wife just fixes the drinks at home with our own syrups.
I’d say the best Starbucks in the area is the Starbucks inside target on Bloomingdale just 2-3 minutes down the road. There’s no drive through, but it’s totally worth it to get the drinks we order...
Read moreI try to be as objective as possible when going to any Starbucks, as I do not drink coffee but all 6 of the women in my life do, so I am there often. That being said, I never find the experience there particularly rewarding. This morning, it was bad enough to make me write this. The drive thru line was long (expected in these times), but I promised my wife and I was fine with waiting. After 30 mins, the order was taken and read back correctly. We ordered 3 drinks, one was decaf. The first 2 were handed out with the phrase "that's the regular, just waiting on the decaf". My wife started to enjoy her maciatto. Minutes later, we received the third and headed home. After a few minutes and half a beverage later, my wife noticed the label said "decaf". I looked at the other and it had no label. Upset, but resigned to getting it right, I headed back. When I showed them the drinks, one came forward to try to help, but when she heard the story, said the unlabeled one was "probably the regular because he didn't hear you and made it hot first". I told I couldn't use the "probably" as the drinker has a caffeine allergy. I had to raise my voice to be heard thru the mask and plexiglass and told them that I would please like them remade properly and labeled properly. I was told I needed to calm down because I seemed agitated. I told them I was agitated because I paid $20 for an incorrect order and had to come back, but I was calm and just wanted the order done right. When they were ready I apologized for seeming angry and explained how tricky it is to be loud enough and explain problems yet seem calm. I was told that even though the mistake was made, I came in too agitated. I firmly disagree. These are tough times, but tell the customer you're sorry and have your actions be apologetic. Don't forget that you're in a service industry... Even gigantic chain stores should strive for us to have good experiences and want...
