My daughter and I visit Starbucks every day and have since 2009. So, yeah, we're fanatical fans of the store. Funny thing is that we're not even coffee drinkers, but we love the tea!
But here's the thing, during the COVID-19 lockdown in early 2020, this was the closest Starbucks for us, though we had often frequented another store down the road that we loved, too. Still, I found the new store an easier drive for a couple of reasons and in Florida, where we live, the traffic is horrendous 365 days a year.
But that's not why we decided to make this OUR store from now on...
This crew kept the Starbucks flowing! They had the option to take off and still be paid through the lockdown, but they didn't. They were at the store every day, helping we fanatics. I thought that was entirely courageous.
Not only are these people heroic by doing this, but they're kind, always friendly, and they knew our drinks in just a few visits! I love that. Don't even have to order because they read our minds.
So thanks to Caleb, Jess, Mason, and all the wonderful people in this store whose names escape me or I just don't know (but will). They made us switch over to their store, really. We just came to admire their tenacity and the way they make us feel special. Thanks you guys! You...
Read moreI hesitated posting this review, but honestly this location needs a desperate overhaul in training and customer service. Starbucks expects and we pay high prices for their coffees. At a minimum, they should be consistent, yet the same drink is different everytime. Not wasting my money at this location again? Even if it is the most convenient location. One time I ordered a Caramel Ribbon Crunch Frappuccino with Extra crunchies and got NO CRUNCHIES AT ALL. Most recently I ordered the same thing and not only did they not put in any coffee base, like every other Starbucks does, but again light on the crunchies AND they put it with the mobile orders so I had no clue it was mine and it watered down and tasted awful. While I was there, I told the girl warming up the goods that there were clips on the floor making it slippery and a hazard and told her how I almost fell and she did not even acknowledge what I said as if I did not speak, and went about her business. Every Starbucks I have gone to has staff hopping working quick and intensely to get out orders. This Starbucks sadly works on slow motion. Long wait, terrible tasting drink and awful customer service Not...
Read moreI have just started my plastic free journey and was very excited and somewhat nervous to try out my reusable cup for the first time. When ordering at the drive thru, I asked if it was possible to use my own cup and I was very politely and excitedly told that yes! I am so able to do that and I even get a small discount. This made me believe that Starbucks is really on board with sustainability and I was so happy to have an easy experience. HOWEVER, upon pulling up to the window I see my coffee waiting there for me in a SINGLE USE PLASTIC CUP. The worker had all intentions of simply pouring the coffee from the plastic cup into my own cup. This entirely defeats the purpose of me bringing my own! And I can guarantee there was no intention of reusing that cup. I elected to just take the plastic cup because I feel that it's better to at least use it before throwing it away unused. I'm very disappointed. I want to stop using plastic and I really had high Hope's that Starbucks did also, but obviously was wrong. Appearing to make a difference does nothing. Actually DOING something to make a difference is what matters. And that is...
