Disclaimer several months later. We've been trying to go here for lunch for a month now. Three times. Today, after checking on line and making sure they were open Wednesdays, we drove two hours - only to find that although the sign said OPEN FOR LUNCH, and another said WALK UP WINDOW, the place was shut tight. This has happened three times now, and we're giving up. However, IF you can find them open...Absolutely can't be beat. Went here with friends from Tennessee, Texas, and the Carolinas. All agreed the ribs and the chicken wings were the best we've found, outside of Saw's in Homestead Alabama. I'm talking about seven friends who love to cook. All agreed, this place is fantastic. The portions are huge, too. And the sauces can't be beat. We started with the sweet BBQ sauce on the ribs, then moved on to the mustard sauce on the chicken wings. Southern style greens are a bit salty for my taste, mac n cheese is fresh with real cheese. Don't forget the "rib bits", which are a good choice if you don't want an enormous platter of enormous ribs. Another reviewer said "The only thing that could have made this meal better was some floss afterwards." Couldn't put it...
Read moreVery misleading i just sent my husband to get ribs.I read all the good reviews so we gave it a try. We love ribs. I will stop anytime I see someone on the side of the road with a smoker. I am willing to give anyone a try. So I figured how could I go wrong with this place. The reviews made it seem like an excellent place to eat. OMG they were so tough couldn’t even eat them. I am so disappointed. What a waste of money. I have been raised around ribs my whole life and have never had anything like this. We were so excited to find someone close by. The owners were very sweet and friendly but the ribs were horrible.. my husband said the greens and cornbread were good. He will eat just about anything but he wouldn’t/ couldn’t even eat the ribs he tried to nibble off any meat that was edible. I am not sure how they were cooked. But you can’t chew the meat it’s so dry and tough. I thought it would save me from driving to Parrish to eat c & k smoke house but I guess I will be driving out there to get ribs...
Read moreJust had my first meal(s) here and was very satisfied with everything. My kids had rib bites, pulled pork and mac and cheese. I had ribs, mac and cheese and baked beans. I asked about okra and did not order any. Upon completion of my order the owner gave me three cans of pop for it being my first visit and a big order of fried okra. My son loved the pulled pork sandwich and beans. Take a drive and give this little jewel a try!!! Oh I almost forgot that I ordered some chicken too and it tastes like smokey, heavenly goodness!! Update 11/23/2019 Stopped by again today and left with a tray of pulled pork (like 5 plus pounds) with buns. Added cole slaw (best I've ever had) and killer baked beans as well as a double order of fried okra. I live minutes from their restaurant and everything was nice and hot when I got home. There should be a line like you see at Chick-fil-a at the drive-thru at this place because...
