I’ve been to dozens of Taco Bell’s. They are my favorite fast food eatery by far and I am very seldom disappointed. This one however deserves extra commendation for really going above and beyond for someone having a really bad day just by simply being kind. Basically I’ve been beaten and broken by everything and anything today and the cherry on top was my phone dying amid making an online Taco Bell order. I walked in the store and explained to the cashier of my situation expecting the normal response of “sorry can’t help you with this very menial request because of policy” etc etc. Just the opposite happened instead. They not only let me charge my phone to complete the order they tolerated my very obnoxious three separate orders of one item each (I was redeeming rewards, which is why I needed to do the order on my phone instead of just paying at the restaurant) and were just very sweet about the whole thing. I’m used to places having their outlets covered to discourage phone charging (“loitering”) because of those who abuse the amenity basically ruining it for those of us who really need a brief oasis to do just that. But this place encourages me to decompress and recharge (in more ways than one). Plus the food was fresh and delicious, the restaurant spotlessly clean and the temperature perfect for combatting the exceedingly muggy atmosphere outside. I was homeless for eight months two years ago and became a bit of a cynic towards corporate establishments and their treatment/stigmatization of people down on their luck. Luckily I pulled myself out of that but still face the occasional calamity in which I am stuck (usually due to my own lack of foresight which I will own), and still am treated as “less than” in those scenarios. But not here. This is a beacon of light in a cold sea of corporate greed and cold compassionless policy. So I highly recommend the hypoluxo road location for a quick reboot if you’re feeling drained. Just so refreshing in so many...
Read moreI would like to thank the guy with the hat and glasses that took my order today (Sunday Dec. 22, 2024) at 9:20 pm for being a real jerk. I really mean it. Because of you I won’t be going to Taco Bell ever again, just because of how much of jerk you were.
I didn’t mind repeating my order 3 times. I get it the intercom system can be wonky sometimes. I ordered, two quesadillas meals with soft tacos and diet cokes, no ice. When he put extra ice, I corrected him nicely. But that seemed to anger him, because he glared at me and threw the drink in the sink and went and talked the person making out food. I didn’t think much of it. But when I got home I saw the tacos are made with corn tortillas, I under why he went to the food station. He probably told the person to make the food incorrect as retaliation for pointing out his mistake with the ice. Normally I wouldn’t care, but I can’t eat the corn tortillas because of a medical condition called diverticulitis. What makes me upset is that I had to throw away the food I just paid for. I work just as hard as you do for money; and just like you, I expect things to be done correctly when I...
Read moreI felt comfortable with the people working there, not busy, actually 5 standing around waiting for the next customer So i ordered a cheesy core burrito and another item. Being a new item, I expected it to be executed properly. I took 3 bites and couldn't figure it out. It looked like slop! I went up to the counter and showed the woman that served me the burrito. I said I ordered that and pointed to the photo on the menu and she said " thats what you got, everything is in there". I said it didn't look or taste anything what I would have imagined but together like that, she said nothing looks like that and laughed! How the hell do you train people to just throw ingredients together with different results? Where can i go to get the properly made cheesy chore burrito? I tried to post the photo but wouldn't allow me, what a shame... Look at my 2 photos I posted, do they look alike? Corporate needs to retrain these employees...
