Ate at Taco Town August 2,2024 with my wife and I would have to give it 4/5 stars. The amount of food for the price you pay is absolutely insane (in a good way). If you’re a college stupid or someone just budgeting lunch on a work week this is the place for you as it does what it’s intended and fill you up without breaking the bank. I ordered the Taco Town two layer tacos and it is a soft tortilla with refried beans with a hard shell containing a lot of meat cheese, lettuce. I got a side of sour cream for $.80 extra. My wife ordered 2 soft tacos with extra sour cream. All together both of our meals which included 5 tacos, and 2 large drinks were $15.50. They were pretty hefty tacos for what it is. Now the taste, I will say the meat could of used better seasoning but it’s not horrible, I definitely think the two layers instead of having the refried beans changed with nacho cheese would of made them tacos slap and made it a 5/5 but for the price you pay and the amount of food you get you get a good deal. Service was very friendly and quick with a lot of seating available for patrons. Will be back again and have a full stomach by the end of my...
Read moreIf you've lived here any length of time you probably already know about Taco Town. It's in an old building at the corner of Racetrack & Skipper Ave kind of catercorner from Ace Hardware. The place doesn't look impressive from the inside or the outside but you'll almost notice one thing. The place is just about always packed. Me and I'm sure just about every other customer wishes they would expand their hours and especially for the weekend. This is obviously a local family business and anyone who's ever eaten there is not about to go anywhere else unless they just don't have that option. I usually order the guacamole salad which is perfect and taste exactly like it's supposed to. There's no skimping here. You get plenty of food. The place is old but it is clean and you watch everything being prepared right in front of you. Once you go here you'll never again be happy with one of those chain stores. I think writing this review created craving so I'm heading there as soon as I finish. It's just a mile down the road...
Read moreFirst time here and I can say I'm very pleased. Their menu is quite large so I asked them to make me something good, which they suggested the Nachos Supreme, the special on Wednesdays. In addition to the Nachos I felt it was only good measure to try their tacos as well, since that is their name. After waiting for maybe 3 minutes, my food was ready and they looked at me and said good luck finishing it. Lol. Let me tell you, their food is legitimately fantastic! Talk about quality and fresh ingredients! The special Nacho today only cost me $3.99 and the toppings alone were worth 2 times more than that! The service is equally impressive and it reminds me of a place where everyone knows your name. To summerize, knowing this little gem tucked away in town, I will most certainly come back to enjoy the kindness of the staff and the incredible tastes at unbelievable prices! Thanks...
