The course is well-maintained, and while it may not be the most polished mini-golf experience out there, the fun factor more than makes up for it.

Goofy Golf is a super inexpensive and fun way to kill an hour, serving some very strong 'old-school' and nostalgic vibes.

While the place itself is somewhat rundown (for example, the automated machines weren't running on any of the courses, and majority of the course statues were faded and with chipped paint), and the courses aren't all that flash or complex, it actually adds to the nostalgic charm, which for those of us born in the 90's or earlier, serves to make the experience all that much more enjoyable! For me, ot really felt like stepping back in time and for the hour i was there, allowed all my mundane, day-to-day worries and stresses to melt away.

There is a single toilet for both male and females that were clean and well-maintained, an on-site ATM (Goofy Golf accepts cash only), a vending machine for drinks, and on-site parking immediately next to the venue (however, be mindful that if you are concerned about your car being hit by golf balls, maybe consider parking further away as there is a high chance of your car being hit by a stray golf ball! I myself nearly copped a ball to the head from another customer whilst playing 🥴).

Goofy Golf is a Destin classic, the kind of place that reminds you mini golf is less about skill and more about laughing at your own terrible aim while trying to sink a ball through the mouth of a snake.

The course is full of colorful old-school obstacles and enough Florida-themed flair to make a gator blush. Yes, there is an alligator, and no, he did not help my score. One hole even dares you to putt straight into a snake mouth, which felt like a weird metaphor for life, but I went for it anyway. Spoiler, I missed.

It is not high-tech or fancy, and that is exactly why it is perfect. It has personality, a little chaos, and just the right amount of “this place hasn’t changed since the 90s and we love it for that.” The vibe is goofy obviously, the staff are friendly, and the prices are totally reasonable.

Great for kids, adults, date nights, or full-blown competitive family tournaments that end with someone pretending not to care they lost by 12 strokes.
