Pad Thai Cuisine — Restaurant in Fort Walton Beach

This is one of those hole in the wall joints that has really great pad Thai, BUT ... you wonder is it safe to eat there. We had been a handful of times and raved about it, but after the last visit, it really may be our last visit. This incident occurred sometime in either May/June 2015. We decided this time to get it to go. We should have known better right away to walk away and come back another day. The place spelled horrible of bug chemicals. That is why we got it to go. Getting our stuff home the pad Thai was fine but the fried lumpia was not. We figured they must have not covered the fry oil when they did their extermination. You could actually taste the chemicals in them! Disgusting. Common sense says get out and don't come back, don't eat anything from here, but when you are craving something you will make bad choices to try and get what you want. I don’t want to be the mean costumer, because I have family that owns food place too, but I have to be fair and the Flavor was not good, the meet (beef) was not good seasoned and Thai dishes are characterized by the flavor, I didn’t got that. The spice level was good, rice was good. The porción at least for an Asian place is small. At least Thai temple gives more. Food was good. Service was ok. but basically got tricked into paying extra. Lady said she supposively showed us a 18%gratuity on the menu but never even mentioned it to any of us at the table. So when going to pay she put all the charge of gratuity of my party on my check and being nice I left a 7$ tip not even knowing of the 18%. She lied and was very very sneaky. When our bill was supposed to be $30 something, instead it came out to $50.00. I always leave a tip but being sneaky like that is not right and was such bad service.
