Let me start by saying words can truly not describe how great our experience was here, or how amazing the food was. Nothing was bad! Everything was delicious, moist, flavors exploding in your mout!!! My family and I were craving BBQ. But with Jim 'n Nick's closed, and Sonny's having a line out the door, We decided to try to find somewhere else to eat at. We googled, La Place BBQ came up and we went. Don't let the outside interior fool you, this is full on southern style barbecue. The smell when you arrive and enter is intoxicating. It's very small, so we took our table ( just the four of us). And the lovely hostess/server/owner took our drink order as she handed us our menu. Everything that we ordered was amazing, we started with desserts that were made locally. Then our ordered food came and I have never seen my niece eat her food so fast and be happy the entire time. I'm a very picky eater and I will have to say I ordered the burger that had the pulled pork on it Yes you read that right pulled pork on the burger, it was out of this world delicious. I am very picky when it comes to my burger temperature and while the temperature was wrong I did take a bite and it was still good. The pulled pork though oh my gosh It was out of this world. For Four people, we very satisfied, and with dessert the bill came to less than $60 for all four of us. So I feel the prices were perfectly accurate for what it cost to make barbecue. The best part is the receipt you actually scan it and pay at your table if you wanted to or you can go up and pay. This is a great feature for people like me who sometimes leave their credit card at home because they use Google pay or tap to pay for everything. I plan on taking my family out to get barbecue from from now on whenever we crave barbecue. I'm even extremely excited to get some ordered for Father's Day for my dad. And the best thing is they also...
Read moreThe first time I went there, I received military discount. The third time I went there to pick up food I ordered, shortly before they closed, I asked for military discount, but the woman told me, “Only if you’re in uniform.” Mind you, I’ve never been there in uniform, so why did I get a discount the first time but not the third time? Considering they weren’t going to offer military discount, I decided to leave. Obviously, they didn’t want my business, because instead of offering military discount, the man took the container of food and walked to the back of the trailer.
The owner never explained why he offered military discount the first time, considering only military in uniform receive a discount, according to his “policy.” Inconsistency is a poor business practice. I’m not offended, if I don’t receive a military discount. However, if you offer it once, you should offer it all the time, not when you feel like it. That’s why I left. Plenty of businesses in the area offer military discount, regardless if you’re in uniform or not. I wish I would’ve known your business practices, and your preferences, before I spent my...
Read moreStopped here tonight after driving by for the last 3 years, and boy I'm glad we did! The BBQ is leaps and bounds better than Sonnys!! I'm usually not a fan of baked beans (prefer ranch style beans) but thiers are some of the best I've ever had! Also enjoyed the black beans and rice, it wasn't at all what I expected. I had the pulled Pork sandwich. When I unwrapped it it seemed like half the meat fell off, when I went to put it back on the bun there was no room!! My wife had the brisket, both were excellent! Prices for the portion sizes were great! Beer prices seemed a little high, but they did come with a frosty cold mug. My only regret was waiting so long to try this place. I'd like to add, the inside is exactly what I was expecting when I walked up to a single wide trailer restaurant, but it was clean and well done. I've been to the world famous (original) Rudy's, it's on par with that place for ambiance. Will be...
