Peruvian is my favorite cuisine and this is always my go to restaurant in South Florida! No other restaurant I've found thus far can beat their astonishing prices and high quality tastes more than this unknown hole in the wall in West Kendall. A order at the counter spot and sit to eat, Taipa highlights my favorite elements of cuisine by sticking to authentic Peruvian recipes mostly showcasing fresh seafood complimented by just as fresh ingredients. Actually discovered this place to through Ubereats that I've since become a long term customer.
The last time my boyfriend and I ordered from there we called in a large order ten minutes before arriving to take home and eat. We ordered the Chicken Causa (chicken salad with whipped potatoes season with lime and yellow peppers) for $7, Antichucho for $9, Aji Amarallio Ceviche for $13, Arroz con Marriscos for $16, and lastly the Lomo Saltado Plate for $12.95. We ordered a lot and somehow after eating till we couldn't eat anymore there was so much left that we ate the leftovers as a full meal. I always aim to order the Anticucho, any one of their ceviches, and a seafood protein dish when I go there. Their Anticucho is the best I've ever had just because of the large cuts they serve in their extremely savory seasoning, grilled to your preferred choice of doneness, in which if you didn't know already, should always be Medium-rare! These same reasons highlight their Lomo Saltado Plate. Other Peruvian restaurants serve this dish with small strips of steak while these are large chunks of meat cooked to your liking, elevating this dish another level. I could never overlook mentioning how great the Arroz con Marriscos is either, simply because Taipas somehow delivers beautiful flavored chauffa with a refreshing assortment of seafood that is all cooked to their individual requirements.
If you'd like treat yourself to a sampling of true Peruvian delights without breaking the bank, definitely give Taipa Peruvian a...

My husband and I visited TAIPA in South Miami for the first time today, and it was an incredibly delightful experience. We were specifically craving chupe de camarones and stumbled upon TAIPA during our search.
Upon arrival, the restaurant was bustling with patrons, a promising sign. Despite its simple setup with not too many tables and basic chairs, the ambiance was warm and inviting. The owner or manager was very attentive and accommodating when we expressed our preference for a booth. He kindly suggested we wait for 10 minutes until one was available, which we appreciated.
The service was impeccable, with our waitress and other staff members being exceptionally pleasant and attentive. We ordered chupe de camarones, pulpo, and pescado a lo macho. The chupe was slightly more salted than we prefer, but overall, all the dishes were delicious and tasted authentically Peruvian. The portions were generous, and we were so satisfied with the main courses that we skipped the sides like rice and corn.
We were truly surprised to find such a fantastic little spot in an unassuming shopping plaza, just 25 minutes from our home. TAIPA may not look fancy from the outside, but it offers an authentic and rich culinary experience that we highly recommend.

Read moreWe never write reviews about negative experiences but this restaurant deserves it. We asked for a vuelve a la vida( chopped seafood) they brought leche de tigre(chopped fish). I asked twice for the actual item and showed the fish chunks to the server. Two servers consulted the manager, nothing happened. Very disappointing. Never again Taipa.
Replying the answer to my review. This was my second time visiting the restaurant, I went based in my previous satisfaction with the same order. I asked the server twice for the correct order and showed her it only contained fish (must be swai, the cheapest, I don’t like fish) the description of the plate said it’s chopped seafood, not only fish. The server both times told me she was going to consult the manager, she never came back with an answer, the same happened with a second server. I was hungry, my husband offered me the seafood from his ceviche and I gave him my plate. You did nothing but make us waste time and your business lost costumers. At the end when we asked for the bill you offered what we didn’t go to consume (desserts) and took 1/2 of the cost of the plate($6.50) Its ridiculous. You had the opportunity 3 times to fix it. Don’t justify your business mediocrity. We left the proper tip to the server because she did it correctly. This review is for the...
