We recently ate here. Atmosphere was pleasant, but the food was sub par at best. We had a few different tacos, and a chicken quesadilla with beans, rice, and salad on the side. The corn tortillas were very greasy and hard to chew. Their meat was flavored okay but looked really dark, even the chicken, like its cooked all on the same grill that hasn't been cleaned. Tacos include diced cilantro and onions on them, with a couple of spicy salsas on the side. The salsas were by far the best thing about this place. Great flavor and they arent afraid to bring the heat like some other mexican restaurants. Still better than taco bell, but being mexican i think i was expexting a little more from this place, especially since it has good reviews. I guess if i were a single hispanic that didnt want to cook i would settle for the quality here. Also better than...

My wife and I have been coming here for years. We love the place and the tacos are some of the best. The meat is always juicy and well cooked and we enjoy the atmosphere. Lately we have been ordering out and taking it home and normally that may make the tacos wet but these don’t get soft and wet like ‘that’.

More on the meats. They are well seasoned and consistent. The pork has a bit of an aggressive seasoning. The beef, it’s lighter. We had the tripe a few times and it’s soft, light and a bit like steak. It’s wonderful. I’d definitely recommend coming here, although the one bad thing is that because it’s a family run place, the price has gone up. A burrito was $9. It’s now $12. Tacos have gone up and they don’t include anything extra. In times like this, I understand. A burrito and two...

Good looking, friendly staff, nice clean, attractive place. Even the menu is attractive. The host looks like he doesn’t need to hire a bouncer. Music plays at a level so talk is possible. Two silent TV’s, one tuned to the game, the other to local news. I ordered the Mojado, a wet burrito. My server explained it wasn’t very hot (spicey). It was not that but it was delicious. JoAnn went for the chicken burrito and liked it very much. They were big enough for another meal and will do so. The review’s number of stars did not reflect the quality. In January to us northeners it was better than four stars with reasonable prices and we’ll be back. Oh yes, and the chips and cheese sauce...

Tacos were good but a little skimpy on the meat and for 3.50-4 dollars each you expect more I ordered 4 tacos de tripa 1 taco de cabeza 1 taco de lengua The first round of tacos were about half the portion I’ve had in other places the 2nd batch were regular Salsas were good 7.5/10 Chips it looked like someone put the last part of the bag were they are all broken and gave me that , that was filled like 1/3rd of the way The sope was good but again not enough meat . Would I go again … maybe for the trips tacos yea since they are hard to find and they were good 8/10 for everything else I don’t think so . The server was nice and the place was clean . Total experience 7/10

I have been coming to this small family owned hole in the wall joint for the last 10-12 years. My go to is always the tripe tacos and carne asada tacos. My little girls always get the chicken quesadilla. We always walk next door to the ice cream shop and grab a big fresh lemonade to enjoy our meal. The free chips and salsa are great too! I’ve had tacos all over SWFL and this will always be my go to. They have always been consistent in quality and taste.
