I had a terrible experience on 10-22-2022 at Taqueria Las Cazuelas. I place an order for pick up through doordash at 5:58PM. My order was scheduled to be ready to Pick up at 6:23 PM - 6:31 PM. I drove from my Home at 6pm and got there by 6:20pm. I walked up to the front, and checked in with the hostess up front. She confirmed my order and stated "your order will be ready shortly." I did not receive my order until 7pm. Keep in mind I pre-placed my order ahead of time to be picked up by latest 6:31pm, and several other people who were walk-ins received their food before mine. After I received my food, I proceeded to check to make sure I got exactly what I ordered. Upon inspection, I noticed that my 2 Gorditas were not in the bag. I went to the front, and asked the same hostess if they forgot. She stated "I called you to say we do not have Gorditas available." Afterwards, I asked her if I place an order for another item if it can be prioritized since this food was for a small family gather to say happy birthday to my abuelita. The hostess stated "No, there are people in front of you, and you have to wait at least 30 minutes." So I stated "why didn't you tell me when I checked in that you didn't have Gorditas available?" The hostess then stated very aggressively "I said I called you before, and you did not pick up!" At that point my family home was hungrier than before. I had a 20 minute drive. I got my food and left the premises. The hostess did not provide an iconic experience. The hostess did not partner with anyone else about my situation. Instead she was rude and unprofessional. If she had stated during my check-in that they attempted to contact me, and were unsuccessful. I would've been able to then call my family and request another item which would've have been those 30 minutes that I waited (keep in mind I should have NOT waited 30 minutes extra for food that I pre-placed an order to) and things could've gone smoother. I do hope the owner reads this message, and is able to not reprimand the employee, but rather educate the employee on the importance of communication of following up with customers and the importance of partnership on any...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreMy boyfriend and I had Taqueria Las Cazuelas last night. We ordered a few tacos, a torta, and a large horchata to-go. Everything's fine until we start noticing that everyone that has come in way after us has gotten their food (much bigger orders too, may I add). Very politely, we asked the first girl on the floor to check on our order since it had been a while (20+ mins). She told us our food just came out and she was going to bag it up, no problem. Until 5 minutes later, I see her pointing to our table and speaking with the other girl at the register. We wait another 5 minutes and then ask the girl at the register where our food is. She says they lost the ticket and they're trying to get it out ASAP. I express my frustration with her, as we had somewhere to be, but again we wait. Finally, the manager calls our take-out number and gives us our food all bagged up and presents us with a small Horchata. My boyfriend politely corrects him and says he ordered a large. The manager actually had the nerve to sit there and argue with him, saying the ticket said a small (not sure where he was getting that information since they lost our ticket). Since we were in a rush, my boyfriend was ready to let it go. I; However, had worked in food service before so I pointed out the obvious. I said "No, he ordered a Large. I heard him order it, not to mention you guys lost our ticket and had us waiting 30+ minutes for a small to-go order. You can't just give us the large??" Finally, the manager caved and gave us the large. We get where we were trying to go and open the to-go boxes to find a completely different order. They had given us the wrong one. We were extremely frustrated and upset as we had paid $36 for a meal that wasn't even ours. Honestly, our fault for not checking before we left but we would've been stuck there for another 15-20 mins so whatever. Honestly, this place needs to get...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreLet me start by saying the food was very good, the server, Diana did her best to make the entire family feel comfortable and was excellent. My issues are with the management, they should be better educated as far as service animals and A.D.A. laws are concerned. I arrived at the location for a nice family dinner, and was welcomed. Immediately the server noticed I had a service dog, and asked 2 questions, is he a service dog and second, asked to see ID for the dog or registration. I explained that there is no such thing and by law is required to ask what duties or task does the animal perform. She insisted politely, that the manager required to see an ID card or registration for the animal. After several minutes of debating, I walked to my vehicle and showed a certificate of training, but again explained, there is no such thing as a registration for a service animal, I wanted to sit and enjoy my meal, but educated the server that for me to show that type of documents falls into Hipa law and the have no need or right to know about my disability. The server, politely apologized and understood what I was indicating. Her service went above and beyond after this. Not knowing the law is not an excuse, if you own an establishment and want the best for your customers, know the law, my service animal is fully trained and I am well aware of these laws. My service animal is not a pet, he is a medical necessity and knows his place wherever we go. He sat at my feet, under the table the entire time, without causing any type of disturbance. Yes, food was great, service after the fact was great and the server was amazing. Just please be better educated as far as laws go. I will be returning, hopefully to a...
