It’s a good thing the ham is yummy. This review is based on my recent experience at this location today. As I pulled into the parking lot I was immediately screamed at by some little, angry, old “security guard” telling me NO PARKING! I asked him- where should I park as I thought this was the parking lot. His reply to me was to raise his arms in the air and give me a dirty look. As he was absolutely no help I backed out of the parking lot and found a spot on the street. As I approached the store there are rows guiding you as to which way you should enter. I had already purchased my ham online and arrived during my reservation window. So I found the line that said “prepaid pickup” and began to enter the store. Before I could get in there was another angry “security guard” who said “did you prepay” and I answered yes. He then said “let me see your code”. I told him it was in my email and would have to look for it. He would not let me enter the store while I searched through all my emails to find my special “code”. Now as I’m standing there (searching through my emails) about 5 people walked right by me and into the store without the interrogation from Mr. Security. Finally once I found my email- I was allowed in. I understand this is their busy time of year but there is no need to be treated like a criminal- I was only trying to pick up a ham that I had already purchased and followed all the rules. It appeared that the “security guards “ were off duty Miami PD with their dollar store badges and cute little guns. Maybe next year this company should look into hiring people that are not over- stressed from their regular jobs that they probably have failed at! You have lost a...
Read moreI'd give zero stars is it would let me. I placed an online order 5 days ago for a Thanksgiving work lunch we were holding today. I received an e-mail confirmation with an order number, confirmation of amount to be charged to my credit card and a note saying it may be delivered as much as 20 minutes ahead of the scheduled delivery time (noon). Noon came and went, no delivery. Waited 15 minutes before reaching out to the store. Automated answering with options, pressed for catering orders. After literally 30 minutes, someone answered. I explained the issue and they asked to put me on hold. The phone immediately disconnected. Called back and it rang busy, called again and back on eternal hold. Called the number on main company website for customer service. After 20 minutes on hold, a representative answered, but was unable to pull up my order since it was placed online. She apologized but referred me back to the store. She did fill out a customer concern form and advised someone would call. Still waiting. Have had no issues with the Ft. Lauderdale store placing catering orders in the past. However, the Miami store seems like they don't have their act together. VERY Disappointed! I understand this is a busy time of the year, however, a simple phone call to say you couldn't honor the order or there was an issue would have been the professional thing to do. Instead, just ignore your...
Read moreI don't need to say how delicious the HBH is. We all know but the pick up service was horrible. There were 2 lines. One for items that had been ordered and paid for and one for items that had been ordered. The line for prepaid items was huge, so long. The line for ordered items was basically non existent. What was the point of paying in advance to have to wait. People who arrived around 45 minutes after me were furious (as if we weren't) that they had to wait in such a long line that they cut into the other line. The poor security guards had to deal with all of us incredulous people. The manager at the store had 3 people attending ordered but not paid for items and 1 person for paid items with the huge line. It wasn't until basically we started to revolt after my being there 50 minutes and the security guards telling them that they finally had more people attending the paid line. A complete disaster....no managment whatsoever. Additionally, they had run out of hand by the time I had scheduled to show up...1:30 and did not put up a sign making people aware. You had to find a parking spot, walk to the entrance of the line and wait for someone to tell you that there were no hams. Next year I don't know if I should just order...
