1st & last visit. I've only been to this one location (maybe other locations are better?). I describe their food as typical, American fake-Mexican styled fast food. In concept, it is a step above Taco Bell that wishes it could be Chipotle, but just doesn't deliver. ORDERING: Ordered online and given 14min pickup time. Arrived a few mins early and announced presence. Watched as 6 groups came in, ordered at counter, got food, and left. Checked on my order and was told in progress. Got order 25 minutes after the 14min time. SERVICE: Had a dull experience with a middle aged female employee whose demeanor, hygiene, and low kemptness made it apparent she hates her life, job, and people. SAUCES: Was grossed out by the dirty sauce bar. Dirty nozzles with caked on dried drips; Mess all around; Even trash on/around the bar. Tried several sauces. Most of them tasted very similar. Having a huge variety doesn't matter when half of them are minor variations. The hots are not hot and the milds are just sugar based. They should consider focusing on 2 or 3 styles and trying to do them well. FOOD: Had "ATOM BOMBS". High processed Tortilla wrap made with no love; Almost texture-less and virtually flavorless. Filling is just cream cheese and bits of jalapeños...That's it...The laziest, most "no craps given" recipe possible. Served with sour cream, because why not add more milk fat on top of the milk fat? and a super sweet dip sauce. Zero star item. Had CHICKEN BURRITO. It is wrapped in the same manufactured tortilla. It seems they went out of their way to find a supplier of the most generic and loveless Tortilla possible. Also, the burrito was mostly tortilla. I was 1/3 of the way through with no chicken found. I stopped, unwrapped it and went looking for chicken. I found 4 chicken cube pieces slightly larger than sugar cube size. 4 pieces. I may have already eaten a couple more and not realized it because they were small and flavorless. My box had the burrito and 9 tortilla chips. 9. Perhaps there is a chip shortage in Sarasota?

Tijuana Flats always looks so groovy and alluring anywhere I go and see one. Even more so since I work for DoorDash and constantly pick up orders from the Lakeland location. So coming here was never and if, but a when. I just didn’t plan on going to a random one in Sarasota before hitting the Lakeland store. I absolutely love the wacky eccentric way that all Tijuana Flats are decorated. Definitely their trademark and I am all for it. I was specifically really interested in taste testing their sauce station, which literally has probably about 20 different hot sauces to choose from. Right up my alley. I got the burrito bowl and it was decent. Next time I go I want to either try a legitimate burrito or the enchiladas, which are always my top pick for Mexican food. I still enjoyed the bowl but I don’t feel I got the full effect. The girl working was absolutely the sweetest person and I wish I had gotten her name because she deserves a shout out for being so friendly and accommodating. Overall, I’d come back to a Tijuana Flats. Not necessarily because it’s incredible food, but it’s still not bad and the overall experience is quite fun. I’d also recommend the peach hot sauce (yup sounds super weird but I promise you will be amazed)!

Ashley greeted us with a bright smile and a warm, inviting demeanor as she took our order. She offered insightful recommendations on their delicious bowls and enthusiastically shared that Tuesday nights are dedicated to Taco Tuesdays, which added to our excitement. In the photos, you can see Stacy, the attentive manager, personally delivering our food. It was clear that we were in good hands; her professionalism shone through every interaction as she ensured everything was just right for us. The prices at this establishment are remarkably reasonable, and the portions are generously sized. We were particularly impressed by the array of different sauces available for the bowls and tacos, each offering a delightful burst of flavor that complemented our meals perfectly.

Tonight (2/1 at around 8:30pm) my fiance and I came in and got nachos. The kitchen accidentally mixed up the type of nachos and toppings combo, aka his steak accidentally went with my toppings and my beans went with his toppings. We told the girl who rung us up whom I didn't catch her name but she was in her late teens early 20s, petite and had a brown braid. She was super apologetic for it, and I apologised too because I'm usually the type to keep messed up food and not say anything about it, but it's just that I don't like meat and my fiance doesn't like beans so we spoke up for the first time. She brought out our new food super quickly and also gave us more queso in a bigger size because we poured ours over the nachos before discovering that the type of nacho was mixed up. She seemed like a supervisor. Her customer service was outstanding and she was so polite. I said I was thankful for what she did and she said she was super thankful we chose her establishment to eat at. Loved her!! Thank you,...
