This is the second time l have been at this place with my small service dog ( l have came numerous times without him), and the manager has approached very aggressive towards him. The first time she told me that " We don't allow dogs here. I replied he was a service dog. Then, she was mumbling that he must need to have his vest". I did not say anything to avoid a confrontation, and l was hungry and ordered anyway. But no lady, he doesn't! She was rude and even yelled at the young girl at the register. Today, l went back again, with my service dog. The guy that was preparing the sandwiches yelled: " there is a dog there" the manager, immediately came out and questioned the young girl at the register saying " We don't allow dogs here". Then, l said is there a problem?" And she looked at me with this evil eye and replied very loud, "No, l am talking to her". So l replied saying "He is a service dog and this is not the first time that you have came after me very aggressively". She even was expecting the young girl to notice if there were dogs inside, or not. That woman needs to be fired because she is not only rude and lack emotions towards people that have their service animals working at their sight. She lacks professionalism and manners. There are plenty of people that need jobs. This is definitely, not a job for her. Besides, no one ever smile or "Can l help you" or "Thank you for coming have came out of their mouth. I am speaking about the 3:00 p.m. shift. In addition, when l was talking to the woman, the man that prepared my wrap, was more into listening to the conversation, and my wrap was so bad and so spicy that l have to throw it away. ( l am 100% sure he did it on purpose because l also asked for no spices) Sorry, but l will never come back to this place.
EDIT: It is very awkward that the owner doesn't take fault at all on any of the reviews left by customers that this place already lost. It seems like you did NOT read my review. The lady was mean, nasty, rude, unprofessional! We came to your place and many of us are treated like garbage. If these reviews don't say anything to you, then l feel bad for the customers you will keep on losing. I own a few businesses and l treat all of them with respect, because out of all the places around that provide the same service as l do, they chose me. So same goes to you. I used to have good things to say about this location but I was in the store eating a smoothie bowl and it has the most God awful chemical taste like it has poison in it. This is the third time I have tasted something nasty in my smoothie at this location but the first time I have asked to get it replaced. Many of the girls who work here are kind and nice but today there was this very very miserable boy working there who told me basically get over it. The $11 I spent plus tip wasn’t being replaced. I would need to buy another smoothie if I wasn’t happy. I was shocked! I am a realtor and have never had someone treat me like this. Granted I never complain about food either but when something tastes like straight chemicals/poison and I’m the one being mistreated over it something needs to change! I thought surely the manager will tell her to make me another one but she came back and said I needed to purchase another one at $11 even though the first one wasn’t edible. I spend literally $100/week at this location not including my mom! Very poor customer service. I absolutely love some of the girls that work there. Unfortunately, I can’t say the same for the management or the new boy. I will make sure my Mom stops placing her large weekly orders as well. We can make our own smoothies at home and not worry about being poisoned. Horrible Service. 5 people working, only one person seemed to be doing all the work. No hair nets prepping the food, and most of the workers had a lot of hair. Girl behind the register had no clue. Leaning on the register, bored, no smile, no greeting, tapping her extensions on her head to satisfy the obvious itch with one hand, and trying to run the register with the other hand. I asked for a smoothie suggestion, told her I wanted a High Calorie high protein smoothie, she recommends a Kale, Spinach, Mango Smoothie, which has no protein, and is low calorie! SMH. Again, she had no clue and acted as if she didn't want to be at work. When the smoothie was ready, the person called my name, handed me the smoothie over the glass divider, I said thank you very much with a smile. She made no eye contact, no smile, looked miserable, like she just didn't want to be there. I know we all have bad days, I know I do, but the vibe there was just horrible! Especially for a place called Tropical Smoothie Cafe, that "looks" upbeat and fun. My wife and I will never go there again unfortunately..... Forgot to mention, that you get a side with the wrap, I asked what the sides were, the girl pointed to the sides on a menu, I ordered Sweet Potato Chips of some sort, not only were they a tiny portion of plain steamed sweet potato pieces in a plastic cup, they were a premium upsell charge that I was not made aware of the upsell charge.
