2025 update I love Popeyes chicken but this location has horrible customer service and bad management. There were zero people in line at the drive thru. I ordered and paid on the app and gave them my number. The AP said my chicken is ready. I pull up to the window and they tell me the system is broken I need to pull up. I'm at the window with no cars behind me she tells me to pull forward and they will bring me my meal. I wait another 5 minutes. While waiting a single car pulls up to the window and gets their meal right away. I back up to the window and am ignored. Finally someone comes and I ask if my meal is ready. She asks how did I order. I say on the app and was told to pull up and no one brought it out. She goes to the FOOD DELIVERY PICKUP SHELF and brings me my bag. I asked why it was on the shelf when I was told to pull up and wait. Was stared at then told they are very busy with a lobby full of people and it was a mistake. I drive around and there are only 2 people standing at the counter. I saw at least 5 employees standing around. Why are drive thru orders being put on the delivery service rack?????? THIS IS THE 2ND TIME I HAVE BEEN TOLD TO PULL UP WITH NO CARS BEHIND ME AND FOOD NEVER BROUGHT OUT. Maybe if service would improve they would have a line like every other fast food place in the area. Corporate are you listening?
2024 update. This place has gone down hill so fast in the last 3 months! Was 5 stars now 1 star. I placed an order for a deal on a window poster. Was told they didn't have the deal. I asked why was the poster up? They didn't know. It was for tenders. I know they have tenders they just won't honor their ad. So I order chicken. I paid and was told to pull forward. Waited 7 minutes. Then I was asked to pull around to the front and waited there for 12 minutes . No one is bringing food out. No other cars are waiting. Cars are all being served except for us. What is going on at this location??? I guess it's no longer a training store. I go inside to ask for a refund after waiting a total of 25 minutes. The manager said you have only waited 7 minutes and you were told it would be a 15 minute wait???? I took pictures of the poster and my order and refund receipt showing a 25 minute wait. Somehow I don't think Popeye's cares. So sad. I love the chicken but never going to be played like this again.
i LOOK AT RECEIPT FOR ORDER NUMBER SO I COULD RESPOND TO THE CUSTOMER SATISFACTION SURVEY, MANAGER HAS VERY CAREFULLY SET UP PRINTER SO THE NUMBERS ARE CUT IN HALF so YOU CAN'T LEAVE A SURVEY.
2020: Update-times have changed. Happy friendly attentive staff,. Food ready to go with short wait instead of sold out, and the box of tenders was full of meaty tenders instead of small thin dry pieces. You have my heart 💓 back and l am taking friends who have never been Love the classic sandwich, not the spicy. Keep up the good work!!! 2018: I love the chicken and buttermilk dressing. But the last 3 times they have been sold out. How can you be sold out and stay in business. Lots of teens laughing inside and no sense there is any leadership to get the food out at...
Read moreMy last visit to this location was rather disappointing. Ordered the 4 piece meal which comes with one side and a small drink. We ordered red beans and rice and coleslaw. Was advised that there was no coleslaw. Also ordered mashed potatoes with gravy on the side and green beans. The young cashier, it was her first day there, rang up the order and informed me that they no longer sell small drinks so they were going to up charge me $.50 for a regular drink. I explained to her that somehow this is not my issue, because they have decided not to sell small drinks. Explained to her further that they then need to correct their menu board to reflect that the meal will come with a regular drink and they need to adjust the price accordingly. The other cashier there told the young girl to go and get a manager. The young girl left and I am supposing that she explained to the manager what was going on as the manager came up to the front, grabbed a small drink cup, and advised the girls that if a customer insists on a small drink than they are to give it them. One of the young cashiers asked then why they were told to tell the customer that they no longer have small drinks. The manager advised her that it is because they want them to up sell the customer. (That is called fraud/theft/deceitful business practice) Wrong on every level. Next up...the food. The young cashier was bringing our food to the table and I went to meet her. She told me that they were out of green beans. I said "you're out of green beans? And then I noticed the mashed potatoes had gravy on them after I specifically said I wanted the gravy on the side. So, I told the young girl that the mashed potatoes were wrong. She returned to the kitchen with the order and I followed to the counter. There was a different manager at the counter at this time and she asked me if I received everything I ordered. I advised her I did not and that I was missing my green beans. She told me they were out of green beans. I said again, You're out of green beans? She said that their can opener to open the can of green beans had broken. I asked her if it was the same can opener that opens the coleslaw. She advised me that they had coleslaw. So I told her that I just tried ordering coleslaw and was advised that they were out. She said they had to make it. The whole experience there on this particular evening was just awful. For me, lying to me about no longer selling small drinks to force an up sale is extremely deceitful. I can't imagine that Popeyes Corporate is promoting this. I am hoping not and that it is just this particular franchise owner. I'll find out, as I filed a complaint...
Read moreThe manager followed up by phone to excuse Bryce’s behaviors and to disregard my experience. Saying he was one of her brightest and best employees, as if I'd randomly drive to a restaurant, pay and than cancel due to good customer service. She did apologize on behalf of Popeyes establishment, but no accountability is why these reviews are horrible.
Dear Popeyes Management,
I hope this message finds you well. I am writing to express my disappointment with the recent interaction I had with the staff at your Ruskin location today.
During my visit, Lacaree, while taking my drive-through order, inquired about the availability of coupons. I informed her that I did not have any but mentioned my intention to step out of the drive-through to download the app and take advantage of the offers. Upon returning to place my order, I sought directions on where to find the mentioned coupons. To my surprise, Lacaree responded dismissively, stating that I would have to figure that out myself.
Undeterred, I proceeded to place my order and, while at the pick-up window, inquired about the name of the employee who had taken my order from Brycee. Unfortunately, instead of providing a straightforward response, Brycee opted to loudly broadcast my question across the restaurant and laugh, causing an unnecessary disturbance.
Lacaree, visibly upset, began shouting, and it was only the intervention of another staff member, who appeared to be of Hispanic descent with highlights, that brought an end to the commotion. Perplexed by the situation, I questioned Brycee about the appropriateness of my request for the employee's name. In response, he indicated that he was informing Lacaree about my inquiry and abruptly closed the drive-through door.
When Brycee returned, I decided to request a cancellation of my order and a refund, as I no longer felt comfortable dining at your establishment.
I believe that customer interactions should be conducted with professionalism and courtesy, and my experience today fell short of these expectations. I hope you will address this matter appropriately to ensure that such incidents do not recur, maintaining the high standards associated with your brand.
Thank you for your attention to this matter.
Sincerely,
Bree Vallejo
