Been running restaurants for 18 years, its a staple of any business to not only fix a mistake, but to apologize and even try to go above a simple fix to protect the brand, the sales, the return costumers. My wife ordered a hummus wrap (shes a huge fan of this), and vegetarian. She ordered shortly before closing, took her order and got home, only to find it was some other kind of chicken wrap, not even close to the correct order. Hey, mistakes happen, this was disappointing, but we made some other food and moved on, you were already closed. After several attempts to call the location the next day with no one answering, we tried to call again today. When my wife described the issue, to a female working around 5pm, the only response she received was “okay?”. My wife asked if there was anything we can do since we drove there, paid for food and got home only to not have dinner. The employee stated she would ask the manager, the managers response was “That was two days ago, nothing we can do.” First, no one even bothered to apologized and the employee was just completely disgruntled at any concept of someone having a complaint. Second, your telling me this company had NO ability, in any form, to reconcile this mistake? Simply shoo the customer away? Im confident Tropical Smoothie would not accept these circumstances and encourage other locations to do the same, this experience is the result of poor management and unfortunately, the staff has been led to believe this is acceptable, completely making sense why this employee felt perfectly fine with not caring. The standards this company hopes for, are being crushed by this location and needs a watchful eye put over it from the regional manager. Companys do not bode well when they shut down service, especially when it results in losing a regular customer, in every way, speaking from experience to the public, do not gamble your money here. Read morePreviously I have been to this location and they have made excellent smoothies. However, today my smoothie was over blended and gritty— it was not smooth like usual. Upon asking the worker to remake our smoothies, she proceeded to dump all of them back into ONE blender after we drank from them. She blended our smoothies together and then she poured them back into the same used cups and did not change out the straws. She gave them back to us not knowing whose smoothie was whose. I am disgusted at the unsanitary service provided by this location. Surely their procedures violate some sort of health code. Other locations have thick, well made smoothies by kind and efficient staff members. This location has been newly staffed and I can confidently say I am thoroughly disappointed. The staff does not greet you upon entering, they’re constantly talking to their friends who are NOT employees, and they don’t listen when you place your order— they ask you multiple times to repeat yourself. This staff does not take their job seriously and is ruining the reputation of tropical smoothie— which is usually an extraordinary establishment in both the service and quality departments. Read moreAll of the workers are always rude and even spiteful. They will not make the order correct. Every smoothie I order tastes like water and they will not put anything I asked for in it. The smoothies flavor and texture is always bad and taste nothing like other Tropical Smoothies. I'm a very good customer and spend a lot of money here everyday from the other location. I just moved to this area recently and can't even order here. I tried multiple times and every time it's a big hassle and the workers are so miserable just like everyone else says on here. All of them are like that too because I tried to order everyday so far and it's the same miserable attitude from the same two girls. I would love to speak to a manager that's how bad it is. And I'm a really nice person. I only asked for one easy smoothie that is the exact same every time and the other location used to make it without one problem.
