Uncle Nick's Pizza — Restaurant in Florida

Just wanted to give you some feedback on our order tonight. We wanted to give Pioneer Pizza a break and give you guys a chance as we like to support small local businesses in our community so we decided to order through door dash a couple of pasta dishes and some wings. When our order arrived we were missing the eggplant parmigiana, everything else was there even that pasta that I ordered with it. I called and was very polite when asked for my missing item, the lady first said she was surprised to hear that because they had put everything in the order and she said she was going to get the manager to which I agreed, when she came back she said in her own words that the "eggplant was sitting right there" and someone was getting ready to come back out and bring it to me. I was happy to hear that, although hungry since it was my dish that was missing, but ok. When the driver arrived a bit later I had already eaten a quarter of the pasta that was accompanying my eggplant parm, only that much cause it wasn’t that great, he requested Id give it back to him since there was a mistake, I was ready to give it back even though it kinda shocked me that he asked for it, never had I ever been asked to return a dish thats already been inside my house and quarter of the way eaten but I was ready to oblige, then my daughter reminded me that this pasta he was requesting was part of my dish and I should not return it, we’d paid for it, my husband came over to talk to this driver, he owns restaurant so he was livid about the way the whole situation was being handled, I tried to explain to the driver and mediate, we just really felt like we were wronged here, yet we were being treated as the opposite. It was uncalled for and very unprofessional from the driver to ask for the food back when my eggplant was found "sitting there" still at the restaurant which obviously means that someone forgot to either put it in my order or give it to the driver, Im not sure whose fault it is but it was definitely not ours. The food was edible, alfredo was a bit salty, wings were soggy, everything was very average compared to pioneer and other places we have visited locally, for that reason along with the way we were treated by your driver, I can honestly say that we really wont be ordering again nor will be recommending your place to anyone. This may not affect your business on a huge scale and you may not care, thats totally ok, however I do hope that you can take something positive for the future and improve for your customers, I know some people are out there trying to get a free meal and some businesses are defensive when it comes to a customer making a complaint, but not all of us are that type of people, you definitely judged us...

I ordered a bacon cheeseburger, large order of onion rings and two cannoli. The hamburger did not look like hamburger. Looks like lots of filler was used so their hamburger meat, whatever it was, would go further. The onion rings were not fried long enough. All, I repeat all, were soggy and shapeless although they tasted good. The delivery route to my house was short so you know those onion rings were NEVER crispy. The cannolis were ok, only two dessert choices. The hamburger bun was delicious! Was my first, and last, order from Uncle Nick’s ! ADDING TO MY REVIEW ABOVE...01/08/19 The manager or owner of Uncle Nick’s Pizza notified me by phone regarding the poor review I wrote. He tried to answer any concerns about my last order. Was pleasant and professional and seemed devoted to satisfying his restaurant/online customers. I agreed to order again something different this time to give a new review. I ordered a small chef salad (big enough to make a meal for someone.) which I removed the croutons to keep them crisp, then refrigerated my salad for lunch tomorrow. The ingredients were fresh and was a nice sized salad at a good price. I also ordered a full three meat sub, cold, and it was delicious! Actually, it’s big enough for two with a salad or soup. Fresh roll, fresh ingredients and made to order! Last, but not least, I ordered two cannolis again! Looks like shell is deep fried and absolutely stayed fresh and crisp! So I recommend letting Uncle Nick’s Pizza know if you had a problem with your order and let them make it right! Good customer service and good food! 7/27/20- I’m updating my last review! I may have had something I didn’t like a few years ago, but I continued as a customer because they gave me a good response. Got take out last night. Called in the order by phone because the website was really confusing. Took about 25 minutes to be ready, pretty standard. Average prices for a pizza place, since we used a coupon that came in the mail, without a coupon the prices were a bit on the high side.

My wife got a Hawaiian pizza and liked it, said it was pretty standard. I got pepperoni and bacon pizza. I didn't like that the toppings were under the cheese. I like the toppings to be on top of everything, hence why they're called toppings. Both me and my wife thought the best part of the pizza was the sauce, it was delicious, everything else pretty average.

The worst part of the experience is that we got a chocolate lava cake for dessert. The cake was delicious, but extremely small. The whole thing was literally three bites. For $4.99 it felt like a rip off. Got it to share, but when my wife saw how small it was she gave me the whole thing.

Will we return? Unlikely, final...
