Up 4 Breakfast - Lakewood Plaza — Restaurant in Florida

This was my 1st and probably last time visiting this place. I didn't know what to expect when walking in but the first 30 seconds I was impressed. The decor looked so beautiful, it was subtle and had pigs on every wall. But as I continued to seat myself I started noticing that the booths and chairs needed TLC. The original wood was showing on the booths and the chairs needed to be wiped down a little better.

It took a few minutes (2-3) for the waitress to notice I was there. They should have a bell on the door if no one is going to be out front to greet customers upon entering. I didn't know whether to wait or seat myself.

Once I sat down I ordered a simple 2 eggs fried with gel at the yolk and 2 pancakes. When I cut into my pancakes its was still a bit doughy so I sent it back. When taking my order my waitress and I discussed how I wanted my eggs fried (the inside to be a gel). I got my eggs and they were runny so I sent them back to be cooked longer. The 2nd time it came out one egg was on the money and the other still runny.

I was on a time crunch so I didn't have the chance to taste the pancakes but I did like the size.

Going forward the waitress(es) could be a little more attentive but...

This establishment was charging a 4% credit surcharge without the required signage and breakdown on every receipt for over 4 months. The maximum allowed by VISA is 3% so who knows how many guests did not even know there was a surcharge and were being overcharged on that? Suddenly, prices have been obscenely increased, 20% for coffee, almost 16% for some omelets, etc. And as of today, the website menu prices have not even been updated.. Is this really where you want to...

Went this morning with my friend and the waitress took our drink order and brought them back. Ask if we were ready to order. We asked if lunch was all day to she said yes. There was not many people on the restaurant. We then waited almost 20 minutes with her looking at us and she saw that we were waiting for her to come back. She was talking on her phone, walking out to get pumpkin creamer then walking in. We were still waiting. Very rude. We walked out and went...
